What a difference a week or two makes.
Hugely exciting news on Nunes and I would hope a striker to follow.
After that it’s who else goes out if anyone.
So if we retain neves and mgw as well it’s unquestionably a strong window.

So does this mean everyone who questioned Jeff and sellars is wrong ?, does it mean that now they are now outstanding at their jobs ?

I’d say a resounding no to both.

The reality is that they are a supporting role in this. Simply put Fosun decide on the spend, mendes manages the he big deals. Shi is there to manage the relationship with fosun and sellars to help identify players also.

But when we spend nothing, it isn’t because sellars is useless and Jeff hasn’t a clue, just as when we spend big it isn’t all of a sudden down to Jeff and Sellars being top of their game. It’s the implementation of a strategy or agreed spend. Of course we can question individual executions (Adama last season, hoever, silva vs neto, Guedes etc), but shi and sellars are paid to execute the strategy of the ownership whether we like it or not.

The only important question is whether they are the best people to execute the chosen strategy. Because in reality the agreed budget is always the context.

I dont think it matters whos in charge or who makes the decisions, those decisions are made one way or another.

The project is back on! Look at how boosted the fan base is with this latest signing. Imagine how the team feel. They will be buzzing that real quality has come in this window with collins, guedes, nunes and most likely a striker as well. They wont care whether its scott, jeff, by committee, fosun or Jorge. They get to play football every week with their mates and hopefully we can now see them play football with a smile on their face, and putting a smile back onto the supporters as well.

Its been a tough couple of years for us as a fan base seeing our potential from the highs of europe, fa cup semi and 7th place stagnate into dull as dishwater boring football with little to get excited about with new incommings.

This window proves the status qou that has existed for many years.
Shi is the Director who runs the "shop"
Sellars is the manager managing the "stock".
Guo is the number one man . Absolutely number one.
Mendes is his trusted confidant and fixer.
Money was switched off , the taps have been switched back on.
The worry was Gou and Mendes had gone off to do other things and lost interest in WWFC.
They are back !
