The appointed VAR specialist referee won’t be allowed to ‘VAR’ in a round of games because of the mess at Chelsea v Spurs.

Drain the swamp.
But apparently there was no need to charge Romero with violent conduct because hair pulling isn't an offence, so what did Dean actually do wrong (according to them?)

They will never admit that retrospective punishment is required now VAR is a thing. So will always come up with some bull**** to defend the appalling decisions.

Dean is just far too arrogant to be a referee or a VAR, full stop.

I missed it. What did 'apologist-in-chief' Peter Walton have to say about the follicular challenge ?

Well, it's complicated....

I think it goes like this....
Dean as VAR saw the incident and he might well have decided it was a foul, or even a yellow, but it doesn't matter, because he's not there to rule on such things. Because he's looked at it and decided it's not a red he can't do anything in the game and nobody can do anything after the game.
That leaves the question of why he's been dropped, but I can't see that he has been, just that he doesn't have a game this weekend, which might just be convenient.

Having said all that, how anyone can think it's not violent conduct is beyond me. Simply saying it's not in the rules is ridiculous, taking your boot off and clubbing a defender to death probably isn't specifically outlawed!

He’s a ****. I’ve called him out for being a ****. But I don’t think it’s on him tonight.

Unless there’s large-scale corruption happening in front of our eyes, there’s nothing he can do without the camera angle.

The linesman, despite those ****ers not flagging ALL SEASON, has absolutely screwed us.

It wouldn’t surprise me. How can there not be a camera angle of the width of the pitch.
There is mate, it's just not there today to suit the agenda and corruption, how else are Liverpool going to get champions league? Because they ain't finishing top 4 on recent form...

I would love an investigation into the corruption in our leagues - trouble is it’s difficult to nail on

So Salah goal a joke, but that’s down to the ridiculous rule rather than officials. Clearly toti was supposed to say ‘I won’t head this because by my estimation Salah is just offside’ !!

The offside decision. Well, the linesman clearly had an amazing view to see Nunes was offside (btw I don’t believe he gave it for Nunes (that’s just the post rationalising they chose). But to not overturn it because of no camera angles !! That’s not var, or dean that’s having a system that isn’t fair and operational. If you can’t see the whole pitch then you can’t use var surely ??

I wonder
If it was Raul not Salah
Or Matip not Toti

What would have happened

It was there a few seconds earlier when we took the corner
Funny that, and I agree. Watch the angles back you can see behind the ball before nunes takes the corner... why didn't they use that camera? Because they didn't want to that's why!

I can only assume it may be a camera operator on foot with mobile camera used for corner who moved as soon as corner taken, but even then should have been in a position to be showing that area of the pitch, I guess the higher camera would be the one showing live footage and zoomed in to the box so Nunes out of shot
All very convenient though

If there was any doubt at all that the game is corrupt, this game tonight, IMO, is 100% proof.

Remember when Neto’s goal was eventually disallowed at Anfield (a few seasons ago) after taking about six minutes to find that Jonny’s toenail was offside in a still frame of a video?

Then last season when Toti was clearly pushed in the back when he was about to score to put Wolves 2-0 up at Anfield and no intervention from VAR? All conveniently swept under the carpet cos it would upset the Sky6.

Then tonight Salah “scores“ the equaliser and is clearly offside but is deemed played on because Toti heads it, and of course the linesman doesn’t raise his flag once the ball goes in the net? Toti wouldn’t have headed it if Salah wasn’t behind him! Where is the VAR intervention by Mike Dean???????!!!

Of course this is the same Mike Dean that supervised VAR for our home match v Arsenal where Guedes was fouled for an obvious penalty and THEN the linesman flagged for offside, which was immediately shown by the live TV replay to be wrong. The ref gives offside and Dean does not intervene to overrule the blatantly wrong decision.

CORRUPT, CORRUP, CORRUPT. ******* cheating @#£&@£&s.

I know considering that ground is used in alot of high level football matches in the champions league... like you say very convenient ain't it! Stinks tbh.
