Lorient v Lyon has been postponed, because obviously the Prediction League is the kiss of death, so the three players who had asterisks on that one (SG Wolves, Chris H and Lobo de Ouro) have those stars moved to Troyes v Toulouse.

Never thought that I would say thank you to Harry Kane but that means I have at least one correct result albeit without the pesky asterisk thingy--however such excitement has raised my blood pressure so I am going to take a break to calm down , back up and running 3rd Sept round that is unless I can get connected on hols in Tunisia

If you've ever watched a small kitten trying to jump up on a chair, gripping desperately with its claws in your upholstery and little back legs kicking and windmilling until finally, finally, it hauls itself up to safety, you'll know that some moments in life are simply heartwarming: perseverance is everything. This week's mighty kitten is Wolf In Wednesbury, a fellow who scrambled up furniture only to fall on his head many times last season, but who this year makes the breakthrough with a deserved weekly award. Wednesbury rattled in 38 points, scoring in 10 of 14 fixtures, and collecting two - yes, two - correct scores with asterisks; he also survived my best efforts to jinx him, and no one can begrudge him that.

Newbie ChignalWolf was an unlucky second, with 36 points and three correct scores, one doubled, whilst Blast Tyrant continued his scorching early season form with 31, and two correct. SingYourHeartsOut was the only other player to get three correct scorelines, to finish on 30, and one of last season's stars Wonder Boyo makes up the top five of the week, also on 30, and scoring in 9 of 14 games.

Special mention of the week to Bigcheese, who got Villarreal's 3-0 demolition of Valladolid spot on.

Spoonwatch: Last again. Mr. Spoon is having a mare early doors. 28 fixtures over two weeks and not a single 1-1 - have we cursed the footballing world...?
