Grasshoppers drew 1-1 with Luzern which moves them to 2nd in the table. Bolla played full 90 minutes. Kawabe started and assisted before being subbed off 84 mins.
Turns out Kawabe went off with a thigh strain and is expected to be out for 2-3 weeks.

I dont know how the rest of the game is going to go, but for the first 20 or so minutes he has been on its been the Fabio Silva show, involved in all 3 goals.

Tonight:

With Anderlecht already 2-0 up after the first leg, Fabio Silva came off the bench on 58 minutes and within 4 mins had scored his 4th Anderlecht goal in 5 games (3 in 3). He later assisted Anderlecht’s second and was involved in the build up to their third as Anderlecht went through to the next qualifying round of the Europa Conference League, beating Paide 3-0 (5-0) on aggregate.

That’s a goal every 63 minutes so far

All goal involvements here:

Saturday:

Conor Coady made his Everton debut in an 81 min appearance as Everton lost 2-1 away at Villa

Dion Sanderson played 90 mins as Blues lost 1-0 away at Cardiff

Theo Corbeanu started Blackpool’s 1-0 home loss to Swansea however was withdrawn at half time. Early days but looks like it’s going to be a struggle for Theo again

Taylor Perry started and played 78 mins as Cheltenham lost again, this time 2-0 at home to Portsmouth

Despite a MOTM performance in mid week, Nigel Lonwijk had to settle for a 7 min appearance coming off the bench in Plymouths 2-0 win at home to Peterborough

Lewis Richards came on with 17 mins left as Harrogate drew 0-0 at home to Crawley

Louie Moulden played 90 mins as Solihull Moors drew 1-1 at home to Southend

More updates from Grasshoppers and PSV shortly

Bendeguz Bolla played 90 mins as Grasshoppers let a 2-1 lead slip vs 10 men to draw 2-2 away at Sion. On a related note Meritan Shabani started his first game in 18 months and Dadashov got another goal giving him 3 for the season so far

Ki Jana Hoever was an unused substitute for PSV as the Go Ahead Eagles went behind early and never came back, losing 5-2. PSV sit top of the league

Giles just scored a howler of an OG against Sheffield. Not even a slight deflection, but a full on shot into his own goal.

Looking at that its 1 Goal and another assist.. earlier today I saw the comments made by Pep about Haaland and Foden he said about Foden missing a chance, Haaland is in the middle (Box) and will always be in the middle (Box) so Foden needs to look up more and realise Haaland willalways be in the box, This is what we are missing and its what Fabio is developing whilst on loan, we desperately need that someone thats always going to be in the Box right now we usually have the invisible man around the penalty area hence our lack of goals.

Sunday:

Leonardo Campana is still out with a thigh injury and therefore didn’t feature for Inter Miami in their 3-2 win over New York

As already discussed, Fabio Silva scored his 5 goal in 6 games and also his second assist as he played 82 mins fir Anderlecht who beat St Truiden 3-0 away. That’s a goal involvement every 48 minutes during this loan.

Goal here: (or via @SuziQ’s post above)

Ryan Giles played 90 mins and scored an old goal as Middlesbrough drew 2-2 at home to Sheff Utd. Ryan also provided several excellent crossed which Middlesbrough failed to convert.

It was a bad own goal - see below. Caused them to nearly lose the game, but luckily for him, they did later equalise again. He did his best to make amends afterwards, and late on swung in a good cross which the Boro striker crashed against the post. Boro fans seem fairly relaxed about his mistake today (my wife less so since she knows he’s on loan from us) as he’s done well otherwise.
