Utd do yeah, they have a pub near the ground (can't be ***** to find it) in Stretford I think where one bloke belts out songs and they all practice em.
It sounds a bit manufactured but fair play, it works for them. Suppose it’s pretty organic really, it’s just the filming of it that makes it seem manufactured. At least the pub is in Manchester and not the Home Counties!

I thought City were impressive in the stands yday, easily the best support from the Sky6 clubs.

The owners may have very dubious ethics but they’ve done well to embrace the musical culture of Manchester (not tough when they have some good bands who follow them) and kept their traditional anthem. They play blue moon over the tannoy, we don’t ever play our anthem.

As for new songs I saw a video of Manchester Utd supporters singing their new song about Ten Haag in a pub. I’m sure I’ve seen clips of that particular pub before in different videos, do they have a particular place they go to to road test new songs? If so, it seems to work and you don’t get them rehashing other club’s songs.

We have great, traditional chants. We just sing more recent player songs more loudly, for some reason.
Yeh it looked like they were having the time of their lives in the SBL on Weds. Even the "5-4, and you ****ed it up" reminder didn't seem to bother them, we'd still be licking our wounds after a defeat like that. It also seems that the Haaland transfer news has re-energised them. Must be nice to get an early bit of summer business done hadn't it!/

Might be a start if the crowd showed support and didn't **** off early.

The crowd is **** for making noise.
But **** staying to the end to watch Brighton go for a 4th goal, if the players have ****ed off then I **** off. They’re laughing at you happy clapping them after a game like Brighton.

Really don't get that at all.
must be wrong. Yes I know there is empty seats from people who don't turn up (but they are counted) but there was only singles left on the day of the game.
Loads in the Graham Hughes. Was only 3/4 full. Lots available in the BW Upper looking from the SB Upper too.

Surprised it wasn't sold out, but perhaps a wise choice.

180 tickets still left for tomorrow.

The stupid kick off time probably didn't help the attendance really, a late night for anybody with young kids,or people relying on trains to get home.

Agreed. Why was it 8.15?

I know it was on sky but could still have been 7.45 or even 7.30

No excuse tomorrow, the style of play, over priced tickets, Sunday afternoon, lack of trains, north bank roof, passing it around at the back, poor transfer windows, poor beer selection.......cut all the crap out IF it's NEVES last game at molinuex he deserves it to be rocking....

Agreed, but it would nice to see some goals for a change as well - they owe us about 20.

A song that I'd love us to get going again is the awful/brilliant Wolves are gonna win today...

I remember it get going at Charlton away a few years back when we as fans were on great form (that pub near the ground was about an inch deep in beer after we left) but I've hardly heard it before or since.

The bit to sing is:
Wolves are gonna win to-day
Wolves are gonna win to-day
Play at home or play away
Bruno's army's here to stay
Woolves, you know they're gonna win today, na na na... (repeat)

Remember Leeds anthem MOT was a crap club song like this this that just caught on. Not suggesting this should replace TWTDMF for us as that's better in every respect, just that this'd be a good one to get going if someone's feeling brave. No, Liverpool haven't trialled it for us but we desperately need some original songs. And this is one we've sung before...

To be fair, that's the best song experience anywhere isn't it, the problem is it then goes quiet after such an amazing intro.

We've tried for years to find something. Never found it.

Glorified karaoke ...Then silent for the rest of the game.

On Sky the atmosphere is so skewed and altered using their microphones.

I must admit Forest fans have really upped their game, there is something special about the Play offs, better than Cup Finals now.
Not sure about Sheff Utd Greasy butty song though. But it was a play off SF.

All a bit odd to me. That strange Garibaldi thing at Forest would have got laughed out of town at Wolves. The greasy chip butty song is a good one to me, but how do these things become club anthems?

I know they encouraged supporters to bring flags and banners a while back but it didn’t ever get going. I’d love to see Molineux decked out in fan-made banners like we’ve seen at the play off final and FA Cup semi. Not the ‘you’ve let us down again’ one or the plastic ones that the club dish out.

Any ideas why our flag initiative never took off? Was it people moaning about their view being affected?

The atmosphere is part of what encourages the next generations to want to come back for more we need to be doing better off the pitch as much as fans ask for better on the pitch. It can provide the difference between winning and losing games and comes at no financial cost

What people have to remember is that we are mostly Black Country folk at heart. Our general character is that of "nose to the grindstone, hard working, self effacing, morosely cynical" folk who look on "flag waving, clarion calling, chest thumping" ultras with more than a hint of disdain (not too much because that would be excessive).

We wallow in our down-trodden under-dog status and champion our heroes as Tatters and salt-of-the-earth, "bus to the game" common folk. We prefer the likes of The Posada, the Great Western and McGhees to those sparkly Gin Joints and Yuppie inspired Hipster Craft Ale Bars with fake foliage dripping from faux Victorian ceilings and flock covered walls. Give us a Cheese and Onion cob and a bag of scratchings over your fancy spinach and mozzarella flat bread and sweet potato fries any day of the week.

We will give no time to orchestrated and organised displays of colour, noise and flamboyantly choreographed "marches" to the ground, and them flares, well!! We dismiss them with a shake of the yed and a "thay need t' grew up" or quick burst of "what the ****in hell is that?"

That's why, calls for fan flags, organised receptions for the team bus, the occasional "Impossible Dream" and that awful smelly giant banner that used to traverse the South Bank and obscure the entrance of the team just when you were trying to figure out who was in the starting XI, wither and die on the vine.

We are simple folk and we revel in it, we will roar and show our passion when we see it on the pitch, even more so when we are fighting against the odds to overcome some obscenely wealthy club with a sub's bench worth more than the GDP of the region and an away following that "only sings when they're winning".

We will "fight, fight, wherever WE may be" but as soon as we start to display Ultra like tendencies there'll be that tap on the shoulder that will remind you where "yow cum frum" and that moment when you ashamedly admit to yourself you got a bit carried away there!

That my fellow mixers is the meaning of "Wolves Aye We!"

Pretty much, even the younger generation are like that...

As for the goal music, we ironically adopted it in Barcelona as an ironic self-effacing **** take whenever Espanyol scored and they played it. Somehow that translated into us giving permission to the Wolves DJ to re-introduce goal music back into our "match-day experience"

It probably all depends on how you view the effect of loud encouragement from the stands can have on the teams chances of winning. To see Bruno Klopp Conte at times urging more noise from the crowd they obviously feel it makes a big difference to getting the team the 3 points
