Playing out from the Back.
Saunders mentioned this about last night.
“We got the ball out from the back from the goalkeeper so many times and considering our results, and it was such a crucial game, it took some nerve for the defenders to get the ball from Carl. “I said to them not to worry if they made a mistake if you are playing out from the back. “Jamie was getting the ball out from the goalkeeper and we were stopping their momentum coming forward. Was this right or was it just when we got to 2 up? "Hoof ball" and "Lump it up" are regularly attributed to Saunders, certainly on here, just wondering about the look of the team in general. What I've seen we've mixed it up quite well but we've looked better playing it on the deck. 2nd half against Leicester apart from Wood's miss and the goal, I thought we outplayed them. Where we are in the league, we need a bit of everything, but these comments sound promising to me.

I got the feeling the defenders would pass it out then they would receive the ball back and just hoof it.

O'Hara playing those Hollywood balls as he is playing so deep is a waste.

Yes, my theory on it is that he knows he is not quick/fit enough to get too involved in the real hurly burly of midfield, so he stays deep to give him more time-stands back and prepares for pelters from the O'Hara fan club!

I think Gorkss and RJ, if in a confident, winning side (???!!!) are both more than capable of playing out from the back, what we need is a fit, firing JOH to do something when he gets the ball.
