Brilliant stuff San Fran - but where's Michael Appleton? The Pompey fans are raving about him and they're going into admin. They looked very organoised the other night against Blackpool and played some great stuff on the break.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Appleton Who knows they may throw Greg Halford as a bonus.

I've heard Ian Holloway being linked and an experienced manager with Liverpool connections is Graham Souness (not my choice but if he wants to come back into management I'm sure he would be contacting Morgan so worth considering).
I'd actually like to see a young exciting manager maybe someone like Di Canio with Wilkins or Curbishley as his No. 2. Even give Gary Neville a shot. He seems to know what he's talking about on Sky (even if he is a little dull). That said he would be a fool to turn down what could be the start of a good broadcasting career. |

Looking at Oddschecker this morning it seems to be between Curbishley, Bruce, and Warnock, so Curbishley every time for me.

Has anybody mentioned Alex Rae?
Did a really good job at Dundee a year or so ago and I'm sure he was restricted money wise because of administration?! Fans live him, knows the clubs, seems the motivational type? |

Unequivocally Curbishley.
He has a strong record, he has proven he can do what we want him to do, but what puts him above the rest for me and bears similarity to why we appointed Mick, is that he has a point to prove. As the excellent 5 Live podcast outlined, time isn't on his side in regards spending much longer outside the game, it seems he has a lot to lose whereas, and I may be being unfair, I'm less convinced about the other realistic contender Steve Bruce. Warnock, not in a million years, he's almost similar to Mick but minus the charm and intelligence. I lived in Huddersfield in the mid 90s and went to many a game when he was in charge there and had many Town supporting mates, it wasn't pretty on or off the pitch. Avoid like the plague. |

Thats fair enough about Warnock but you saw that in the 90s! Almost 20 years ago! Im sure he has changed a lot since then and he has got promoted to the Premiership twice which isn't bad going! Still not for me though, I agree.

I'm adding new names all the time - if you see pictures of any of them at Molineux can you post the links on here and I'll make a note that they're likely being interviewed for the position.

I wanted him when MM was appointed. He'd always said he'd love to manage Wolves, but no PL experience. |

Phil Brown spotted in Asda this afternoon, weighing up a multibuy offer on Piz Buin.

That got me thinking about a Phil Brown Ian Holloway dream team, I doubt there could be a pairing worse than that...

1 manager that hasn't been mentioned much is malkay Mackay at Cardiff, another very good young manager that would be a good signing.
I hope Moxey has already asked Norwich for perission to speak to Lambert, Can't see it really but would be good. |

We never seem to get it right with foreign signings though.
