I'll ask you this then. Would you have preferred two players who have played english football costing 8-10 million who would of improved our 1st team and wouldn't need time to settle in in a new country or 2 unknown players who might or might not actually make the 1st team. Where did sale exactly say gamble and put the club hugely in debt?

If Wolves start the first game of the 2010-2011 season, at Molineux, in the Championship, in front of 16,500 would it spell the end for Jez Moxey?

Papper get a grip fella I have sat next to Sale for ten years home and away and like myself we are fully behind the side hence our financial commitment to the club.
Do you really think we turn up to every game hoping we lose to get rid of McCarthy? I don't like McCarthy (a blindman on a galloping horse can see that) but if by a miracle he proves me wrong by keeping us up I will apologise to yourself and and remaining happy clappers. I actually think the squad could keep us up but Mick can't because he is so out of his depth with tactics and team selections. |

Lifeboats? You've got your expectations set way too high. We're third class passengers on this ship, be grateful for a bit of floating debris and a crappy girls film made about us in 80 years time. Just get behind the White Star Line ffs, it was floating when it left port, it'll float again, just get behind the designers and stop being so negative.

BlackBully do you have access to Moxey's bank account? You seem to know an awful lot about his personal finances.

http://www.molineuxmix.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?t=8710 So we've been able to see that he got a total package of about £550k the first time we were promoted. His salary since then has been around the £300k mark and he has a company car (Jag) on top of that plus travel and other expenses. Pretty cushtey!

It's more like Jaws, when they set sail confident that they would get the shark. Then suddenly Chief Brody exclaims " We're gonna need a bigger boat ". Eventually Brody says something like " Smile you son of a biatch " then all's well and they paddle to shore, safe and sound.

Newly promoted clubs all face the same problems when it comes to signings. Johnson & Dann going into an experienced Blues side was a major coup. Hindsight is great. Bet Blues were impressed when we got Doyle & the Serb National Captain.

Thanks for the supporting posts lads. I have said time and time again, that i would have liked £8-10m spent in january on two players similar to the quality of doyle. Not asking too much imo.

I would like us to have purchased 3 x quality players, we tried for Johnson as centre back (a key area we all identified), a quality striker (Doyle fitted the bill), and a quality midfielder. This latter area is often the hardest to acquire - they cost the earth and are few and far betweeen. Milijas was identified in the end. I suggested Campbell when he was released by Notts County but was ridiculed.
Its just frustrating, we all know the club cannot spend huge amounts but chances in the prem are few and far between. I think MM identified a number of reasonable targets that would have enabled us to stay up ( or a better chance) but we failed to compete financially. |

We could have spent that sort of money on players that we didn't need/want to appease the fans or we could have spent less on players that were not good enough. |

If that equates to between a 5 - 7% rise then that is what I have heard as well....

I'd say at least half the crowd would struggle with £512 in the SB - I'd definitely struggle

I won't be going if its £512, that will be my support lost for good at home games. If i don't go then they'll lose my mrs and daughters support for the odd game. No point my daughter being a junior wolves fan if i don't go so thats more money they'll lose. Just away games for me.
