Fair play. I liked him, he had a daft moment and let himself down but you could tell he was a proper Wolves fan.

Yes could have signed with him years ago though. My lad always said we should have signed just to stop him scoring against us.
I forgive him for the dive at Saints (against Erwin) it was Rennies decision.

Tbf, I've had other commitments lately. Been a struggle to create any baiting time at all.

Must be me but I thought this was a thread about Kevin Phillips ???

Just in case it is then he is still a fine striker even at 39!

Astral the guy would still score goals aged 70. He has the knack to know where to be score, so even when physical attributes have gone, he would still be able to position his zimmer and toe poke one home. A bit like Sheringham, or, if you follow rugby much like Dean Richards..Different games, but players 'knowing' where the ball will be

Bennies aren't bright enough to bait us. They just sit in their sandwell hovels sticking pins into their Steve Bull dolls and wishing they had a place in world football history like us.

If I was incharge I would genuinely have signed him. As much as I hate the man for the goals he has consistently scored against us, he is absolute class. He is that good that I would shake his hand out of respect

So what if he was Albion or Blues. A great pro footballer hate for what he did against us not as a person like it is with Lee Hughes

Remember in the prem under DJ we got slaughtered by Southampton. Think he got 2 and Beattie 2 but everyone was going on about Beattie in the papers and on MOTD etc.

Phillips that day put in one of the best striker performances i've ever seen. Link up play, movement, goals, he was brilliant. Beattie was the golden boy but apart from his goals (One was a screamer mind!)he was $$$$.

Great player, but that hatrick must be the jammiest ever - a well struck penalty deflects off keepers hand into oppositecorner, the 2nd a mis hit shot altogether deceives everyone, 3rd a deflection that beats the keeper.

I thought we should of got him in before he went to Blackpool,we have missed having "a fox in the box" type striker. He was interested in coming to us then, still lives in the area and his lad is at our academy.

Despite all the goals he has scored against us i respect him for being bloody good at his job and still being likeable(i have met him quite often in the last year) unlike certain other individuals i could mention.

In hindsight It looks like an incredibly stupid decision for us not to have signed him bearing in mind our long need for a proven goal machine....

I said for the past two summers we should have signed him!

I'd have him in ANY division.

Awesome striker, just so happens that he's always had a $$$$-hot record against us ever since he was at Watford, particularly for Sunderland. Although to be fair he has a good record against virtually every team.

His 10-year-old son signed for us last year, so hopefully we'll still get some benefit from Phillips
