This is the problem. I've been looking at the table and remaining fixtures today just in hope that I'll see a way Villa will get relegated. But even if they only win one of their remaining games, or draw two, I can't see the teams below them conjuring up enough of a run to overtake them. They're effectively 6 points clear with their goal difference. I know anything can happen, and I'll be praying for them to go down but the more I look at it, the more unlikely it seems. To be honest I'll probably be rooting for Wigan tonight.

Yes it will. Exactly. Why is it desperate? We've known for a number of weeks now that we're likely to go down, it's not as if it's on the final day where, if Villa joined us, we wouldn't really comment on it. We can now look at the other team in contention for relegation and it's only natural to imagine the teams you'd like to go down. I'd be $$$$ing ecstatic if Villa go down!

People do realise that you get three points for a win don't they? So six points is two wins (with Veela not gaining any) so it only needs two (maybe three) other teams to achieve this for Veela to really start getting twitchy

Even if Bolton lose their game in hand, It's still all to play for then with a couple of games to go.

For me, it's anyone from Villa, Bolton and QPR to join ourselves and Blackburn for that last relegation spot. Mcleish' Birmingham looked the safest side this time last season and we all know hat happened next. Villa are playing kids ATM and when it comes to the pressure of a fight to the death, my money wouldn't be on them to get out of it.
