Anyone watching? Have to say that it's one of the best games I've seen in a while, certainly not what you would expect for a final.

How Gerrard isn't going to be captaining England in Germany this summer I'll never know.

Inspirational or what?

Awesome player. Best midfielder in the world, he's a complete player.

If only Sven would play him in an attacking midfield role. :(

Brilliant game, couldn't ask for a better final. West Ham, great young side (for the second time). Shows it can be done; can we build a young team?

Without Gerrard West Ham would have trashed Liverpool.

Cracking final, West Ham so impressive. A lot of that side played in the Championship, it's a surprise they had to go up through the playoffs.

Would love us to do a West Ham...would love Hoddle to prove us wrong...

Personally I thought the final showed everything wrong with the English game. Both teams committed suicide defensively. Far too much open play making the game end to end.....not enough closing down and sticking with men....players not fit enough and collapsing with cramp....I could go on.....

Have to say though, that save by Reina in extra time was fabulous.....consdiering what he'd been through earlier in the game....

As for the winners....very lucky strikes by Gerrard on two occassions underservedly kept them in it.

As for the losers....serves them right for shutting up shop with 15 mins to go. Lessons here to be learned by the England manager........not a great week for English football .....Boro hoofing it up and now a final like this.......

Can't wait for normality to resume under Saint Glenn next season now.

"Why didn't you go for Reo-Coker with all the money we had in the Prem. and seeing how Ince is struggling with all these games? "
..........."not good enough".

Thanks Dave. So much for your legacy you daft stupid egotistical ape.
For £500,000 of the millions you wasted on turds you could have kept your job and our pride. Either you were just a bit soft in the head or just slower than the fans at spotting a good player?

Ashton and Reo-Coker. DJ could have signed them both.

Oh....and another thing.....why the hell haven't West Ham sacked Pardew?

Just 12 mths ago he was responsible for them gaining promotion after a very dodgy campaign....but now they've lost an FA Cup final to the Champions of Europe no less ..........but the fans still wanted him out back then..........the football wasn't good enough you see. Surely that's grounds for instant dismissal?

Lessons to learn maybe?

Not really, for all of the West Ham fans moaning, in his first season he got them to the play-off final, in his second season they won it, and then this is his third season in charge, which has resulted in a top-half Premiership finish and Cup Final appearance. Hoddle hasn't even come vaguely close to matching his record.

of course it was a lucky strike. If he was regularly capable of scoring like that; placing the ball accuracy at a distance, he would have done it earlier in the game. It was a hopeful hoof in the last minute, nothing more. You will have notice Riise tried the same, if that had gone in would you all be singing his praise?

The only comparison you can make between Wolves and West Ham is that West Ham struggled in the Championship when they had half their squad injured. The difference being they stuck with their manager.

it must be me, i thought the final was boring, apart from a calamity own goal and a goalkeeping error, a tremendous goal from gerrard, a world class save from pepe the clown the match was drab, how many saves did old man hyslop make? stray passes, hardly a tackle in sight, no handbags at dawn, extra time was a none event. the fact that there were 6 goals shouldnt hide the fact the game was $$$$e.

As I said before without Gerrard, his passing as much has his goals, West Ham would have won this. But I have to say they were two impressive strikes and I could not see any luck involved.
West Hams attacking game made it one of the most entertaining cup finals of many years.

Agree Wolfie Smith.

The game was played by two poor teams on the day. It seemed a passionless afair for most of the game off the pitch aswell as on it. Fair enough there were 6 goals 3 lucky 3 very good but the rest of the game was weak. I can't recall a more boring 3-3 draw but of course the BBC had to say it was greatest cup final since the 50's.

I think they should sack Pardew. He's revolting. The fact that Pardew should go shows how utterly mad we are to stick with Hoodle.

Gerrard is much better than Lampard.
