Bahama Wolf 29-04-2006, 17:11 MOXEY SHOULD GET HIM...NOWWWWWWWWW He wont get the England job... johnybig32 29-04-2006, 17:12 Newcastle may look the nicer option.... Never in a month of sundays will he come here!! hahahahaha I will eat my cat if that happens.... Why wouldnt he get the England Job? Big Mack 29-04-2006, 17:13 From his press release... 'I'm excited at the prospect of taking Wolves into the Premier League. They're a sleeping giant which I intend to wake up. Everything is in place, the fans, the stadium, the infrastructure to be one of the biggest clubs in the land and I intend to fulfill the ambitions of all the supporters etc etc.' Or maybe he's taking a step down and going to manage England. Shifnal Wolf 29-04-2006, 17:14 where is this? i cant see it on bbc or skysports MK Panther 29-04-2006, 17:18 Yes he has resigned people do that from time to time! Shergar 29-04-2006, 17:26 Hopefully, Hoddle is on Charlton's list and prime candidate to replace ~Curbishley. Please let it true. brummywolf 29-04-2006, 17:27 Newcastle beckons... The Bear 29-04-2006, 17:49 What does this mean?? It means he wants to leave his current employer. brummywolf 29-04-2006, 17:51 It's got to mean either Newcastle or England... He's 3/1 now for Newcastle and 2/1 for England with betfair... The difficulty is choosing which one?? dazmanwolf 29-04-2006, 17:56 Hope he does well wherever he goes! The kind of manager every club should have. Stewarton Wolf 29-04-2006, 18:11 Wasn't Hoddle linked to Charlton earlier in the England saga? brummywolf 29-04-2006, 18:14 Wasn't Hoddle linked to Charlton earlier in the England saga? It was on internet message boards and a few snippets in crappy newspapers but apart from that I think it's just wishful thinking. Stewarton Wolf 29-04-2006, 18:23 It was on internet message boards and a few snippets in crappy newspapers but apart from that I think it's just wishful thinking. I wouldn't dismiss it that quickly, a return to London, reasonable repuatation in the south, the job he did a soton with a similar sized club. I would think Mr Hoddle agent is working on it as we speak. I think if the opportunity open up for him to extract himself from the current situation then I think he would take it. Interesting, Just for a moment, if he did walk out when the board were minded keep him, what position would the club be in? Are there any obvious candidates out there? Brizzlewolf 29-04-2006, 18:28 It won't be England. My guess is he's been told he needs to managea bigger club if he's going to get the England job eventually. The Toon beckons. WTID! 29-04-2006, 19:02 Veeeelllllaaaa fans at my work were talking about this the other day, saying Curbishlry would be there next manager. I replied why would he walk out on Charlton to come to you and they replied because he used to play for us, which I suppose is fair enough but not really a goos argument. Worse case scenario is he does go there and O'Dreary reveals he's been a long time admirer of what Wolves are doing and we end up with him. GG27 29-04-2006, 19:20 Worse case scenario is he does go there and O'Dreary reveals he's been a long time admirer of what Wolves are doing and we end up with him. I would rather my mother manage us than o deary me , i hate him more than Savage:mad: siunt 29-04-2006, 19:24 O'Leary is a good manager. Look at what he did with Leeds, and he's now in a very difficult job, with a very small squad, and an ambitionless board which is very similar to our own. wolf of sedgley 29-04-2006, 19:31 O'Leary is a good manager. SOA Wolf 29-04-2006, 21:08 Dream scenario...Hoddle goes to Charlton and we get Martin O'Neil.....what, sorry, I've woken up...bah! we've still got Hoddle. big-blue-wolf 29-04-2006, 21:17 For anyone interested in what Curbishley has said http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/charlton_athletic/4958402.stm I.D. 29-04-2006, 21:17 Dream scenario...Hoddle goes to Charlton and we get Martin O'Neil.....what, sorry, I've woken up...bah! we've still got Hoddle. I heard a rumour that Rick and Paul Manduca find Jez overbearing and they say that he smells of pies. As a result they have decided to get out of Wolves, do a share issue on Rick's greasey spoon cafe business and buy Charlton with the spare change. They obviously want their own man at the helm (Glenn) and Curbs had to be shown the door. It's just a rumour mind. Makes a lot of sense...and with Manduca spending most of his time in London he can get to plenty of home matches.......spread the word...... Why wouldn't you want a manager who has got to the semis of the Champions League? It's all Ellis' fault and always has been. Curbishley for me has obviously taken a huge blow to his confidence after the England situation and has decided he'll never manage England as long as he is at a club like Charlton. He's taken them as far as he can and needs a bigger set up. i.e- Newcastle. Good luck to him. |
