View Full Version : What have we got to offer ?
Just a question, what have we got to offer prospective players and maybe if hoddle goes, a new manager ? This club isnt a very attractive proposition anymore. A reduced budget, immense pressure from the crowd (i still think we will still expect promotion no matter how much money we have) and the owner of the club seems to have just given up on the club. Plus the fact that the club has been up for sale ( for free !!!!) and still no takers. I dont think we offer a lot at the moment
A brand new training ground that will attract the best players in the land! :D

Good question Mugwump, I have no idea but it's not down to us paying fans to know. It's the board that should be plugging the club and it's plus points.

well we can offer players a day off on wednesdays no matter how bad they have played so they can visit relatives or friends in other countries

I think it's time we turned the question around and asked 'Mr Player (insert name). What can you offer us?' For too long its been us offering them wages which outstrip their talent and ambition resulting in lack of effort on the pitch and it has to stop.

Agree BM. Be nice to sign some players who think it's a step up to come and play for Wolves. Rather then players that have already seen better days.

I still think we can look an attractive option for a player. They won't know how bad it's been this season.
I'm sure with the excellent training facilities, excellent attendances (this season), Glenn Hoddle's reputation in the game and 'big' name players in our squad we will still prove an attractive option.
We know the truth but I'm sure Moxey and co can still sell our club. It's the money side that will be the downfall (which unfortunately is probably the biggest factor the player!!)

Probably the end of their career in football management ;)

Just go and have a good look at the facilities and wages on offer at a lot of other clubs and you'll see what we can offer. Some of you are so fickle. If you support Wolves then for God's sake stop criticising them as a club. Ok so the manager and players have not performed, but players and managers come and go. So we will not get promotion this year; well just support them again next season. $$$$ happens guys.
realising we dont have the financial clout of the past isnt being fickle, its being realistic. Dont kid yourself easternwolf, even at our level most players are motivated by money. We wont be paying big money in wages anymore so we dont have as much to offer as in the past. The good facilities and training ground will help, but its money that motivates the most of the modern players. Thats a fact.

Trouble is and it's a big Trouble, $$$$ seems to happen every year at the Wolves.
With regard to other clubs, we are now getting dragged back into the crowd as far as grounds are concerned. Paying high wages is not the answer. It is in record that the year Albion caught us to get promoted they paid there team around £11 Million against our wage bill of £19 Million.
I love the Wolves and have supported them since 1956 but I see MY club being ruined at present and am no longer prepared to stand by and watch.
