I know it's sometimes easy to read too much into thigns sometimes but this from Ndah talking about his retirement on the official site got me thinking. Do our players get as good a medical treatment as they should > do we get more than our firt share of injuries ?

I got the injury against Sheffield Wednesday and I was on the stretcher thinking oh my God - I can't believe this is happening again. I got through that and then when I got back training my knee wasn't feeling that great and it was swollen when I played a couple of reserve games "We came to the decision that I needed a minor operation over the summer in any case. Then, as I trained each day the swelling was just increasing. I told Baz (physio Barry Holmes) that I needed to see a specialist and so I went to Cardiff to see my good friend John Fairclough who told me that the knee hadn't recovered from the original injury and if I were to continue then in later life I could be crippled When you hear things like that then it all comes into perspective.

Sounded like Ndah was the one who decided to see the specialist ather than the medical staff refering him to one, and that the injury was more serious than thought. Should the medical staff have picked up on it.

Also the problem with Olofinjana back was not picked up on straight away.

We have previously seemed to rush players back from injury only for them to be injured again.

The number of long term injuries we've had over the last few seasons seems above average, maybe I just pay more attentionto injuries to our players than those of other clubs

Ndah, Murray, Lescott, McNamara, Gypes, Clyde Ganea, Craddock, Edwards....... I know there are several others as well many no longer at the club

So is it
Just part f the game , no worse than other clubs

bad luck.

Signing injury prone players

Bad training practices

Medical staff not doing a good enough job when players are injured

Ndah was injured by that hideous overstretching desperate typical Albion donkey.
He never looked like he could make a Shearer-type recovery, and even Dave Jones said (cruelly at the time a few years ago) that Ndah's legs were too thin for top flight football.
It's sad, and he was brilliant on his day, but as a business Wolves should have pensioned him off 2 years ago.
Bad management decisions cost us the chance of replacing him with a fit player to make a difference

To be fair, I've seen healthier legs hanging out of a nest...

The comments attributed to Ndah don't surprise me one bit. Just take a look at our injury record....it's beyond a joke that so many players have suffered so many long term injuries and yet, no-one questions the way we handle things.

we only have phisios dont we? they only follow what they are told to do by the specialists. Its the specialists that tell the players when they can step up the training levels

I wouldn't expect physios to diagnose problems, but someone has to so the question is
So do we send players to see specialists at the right time though and who decides when that is?

I Agree George was unlucky with his first injury and is generally injury prone, but what about the rest of the players
