...we could finish 7th, 2 places higher than 2004-2005. What's everyone moaning about, it is an improvement

we're still 2 points off what we got last season so it has got worse if you think about it

If the manager had had to cope with numerous injuries, sickness and an unjustified number of poor calls, then to achieve 7th perhaps might not have been too bad. However, with the squad at his disposal, either the players, the manager or maybe both players and managers, should be shown the door without delay. Certainly a good clear out should be considered.

Incidentally, looking at the club's website, why can't they show pics of all the players and backroom staff - and what about the admin staff? No mention of GH's brother, does anyone know what Carl's function is?

We have played some brilliant football this season, it's not over yet as there are still points to play for.
This season has been a cast iron success.

At the beginning of the season Glenn Hoddle said the squad was good enough for automatic promotion so by his own expectations this season has been "a disaster".
Whether we finish 7th or 8th, its is not what we expected or the board expected so to say it is an improvement over last season is stretching it somewhat.

At a salary of £500,000 per year, well above the rate for the job in the championship, we fans / SJH / the "board" were entitled to expect the team to get into the play-offs, at the very minimum.

We could have got a manager, to get Wolves into a distant 7th place, for far less money and with considerably more excitement!

Hod has failed, full stop. He had a close season, plus a full season in charge and still produced some of the most boring football we've had to suffer for years. There shouldn't be any doubt about whether he should go, of course he should. Why wait until November to sack him? it's just putting off the inevitable and what on earth will a new manager do, at that time in the season, with the players bequeathed him by Hod?
