View Full Version : A Complete Disaster?

According to Sky those are Moxey's words in the programme today. Something along the lines of " We may as well have finished 21st as 7th". Can't disagree with that assessment really. And having watched the performance today all I can think is that it is going to get worse before it gets better, whether we sack Hoddle or not, and I hope we do.
Those players out there today were pretty pathetic, weak of mind and weak of body. There isn't one who I would like to see in a Wolves shirt next season (I don't include Lescott because he will be sold).
Absolutely demoralising. No shape, no passion, no ideas, complete confusion. Frankowski....what a waste of money, missed another sitter. Have not said anything about him before now but he looked completely lost today. Hopefully this pushes Hoddle nearer the edge.

Hoddle is toast. He was genuinly shocked when the Sky bloke told him about Moxey's programme notes. The camara went to both Hoddle and Moxey several times during the match, I got the feeling his days are numbered.

Moxey and Sir Jack's Faces said it all!
Bye Bye Hoddle!

My season ticket stayed in the drawer today and I watched it on Sky, first time I've ever stayed away like that!
Hoddle seemed very dismayed when informed of Moxey's comments with the arrogant reply "if thats true we will have to sit down and talk about that".
He says its not a disaster, disaster would be fighting relegation. Complete $$$$$$$$. FOr a season when we were expected to challenge the top 2 but finish 7th (or lower) trailing in the wake of Reading, Sheff Utd, Watford and PNE, the loss of parachute money with our highly paid messiah... Moxey is spot on and Hoddle's defiance is breathtaking!

I agree that Hoddle did not like it when told of Moxey's notes. The writing must surely be on the wall for Hod.
BTW MW, was that the Henri Camara that went to Hoddle and Moxey?;)

one things for sure we have to change the way we play football, time after time today our midfield was camped on top of our defence only for the defence/midfield to whack it aimlessly up front to tom thumb, result the ball is given away. someone could get these players playing something like half decent but i do not hold out much optimism for next season whether hoddle stays or not. lescott WILL be sold, theres no doubt about that, we have now become a selling club and he is one of a few assets worth selling while he is still saleable. i feel sorry for frankowski as a footballer, settled in a spanish team, scoring goals, then pressured and promised all sorts of things(like promotion) then he comes here and gets stuck in a team that hoofs long balls nowhere near him, yes he should of scored the one on one but the bloke is clearly lacking confidence and must be embarrassed.
as for a complete disaster well thats coming from jez who will now have to work for a living to get us some money in, sell lescott, seol, olofinjana the money from that could buy decent players if it is allowed to be fed into the team.

Lescott's value must be dropping week by week as he's just quiet an ordinary player now, although still the only player we have worth anything.I would say he's probably worth £2m not much more unless Chelsea want him then perhaps £15m

Why, did you think he was bad today? I actually thought he played well.

Not just today but since he's come back he hasn't been anywhere near the player he was.

lescott has lost a yard of pace, scrutinize his peformance, analyse him and you will notice this.

A number of thoughts arise from the programme comments, and I am not just referring to the opinions expressed by Moxey.
It seems to me that Moxey is playing politics, because:
1. SJH was present and JM wanted to appear as a "no nonsense" type of guy, and at the same time disassociating himself with the "disgrace".
2. I suspect that he is inviting GH to resign, whereupon the contract can be terminated "by mutual consent". Therefore no compensation is payable. I now believe that JM would like to see GH leave.
3. Why did not JM have the common courtesy to send a copy of his comments to GH before the programme was printed? It seems clear that GH had not seen them previously. If I were GH I would be spitting blood, and would definately wish "to talk about it" in no uncertain terms.
The relationship between GH and JM can hardly be one of trust henceforth.
When SJH comes back to the club, it can only mean one thing..........Hoddles gone.
It's a shame, I thought hoddle would take us up but he's constantly got it wrong this season.

What does it say about Hoddle if he doesn't read what's in the match day programme?

Agreed on all points, however, I think Hoddle might have been playing dumb by claiming he hadn't seen Moxey's programme notes.

Its hardball time. Hoddle has stated that he is staying, Moxey has hinted he wil be going, so we will see the whole issue unfold as the parties agree a leaving fee.
