Martina Swine reports on the Wolves faithful and their continuing love affair with Glen Hoddle

This week I conducted a fan's poll via ticker tape from my office at Swine Court and the results were absolutely astounding.

Out of the 3 votes received in the 24 hour period, absolutely no-one voted for the current incumbent of the manager's hot-seat at Moolinex.

That the fans bombarded my desk with such a tidal wave of support stands testament to an unswerving belief that Glenda is the right man for the job.

Hoddle's 100% of the vote is surely down to the fact that the former Wales manager had achieved promotion back to the Premiership by January 1st.

The former France midfielder has built a formidable team at Vile Park, based on swift, incisive, attacking football grounded in a rock solid defence. Anyone who has watched the Wilfs this season will know that it is impossible to leave your seat in case you miss something.

The club's Chief Executive Jeremy Mexley has gone on record (and MP3 download from the club webbbbsite) stating that he is not bothered that half-time sales are zero as bums on seats is what counts - something Welves have in abundance.

With Heddle at the helm, Mixley saw fit to launch an early bird season ticket renewal scheme which trebbled prices, but was totally over-subscribed, such is the fans love for this Southerner's regime sweeping though the club at all levels.

Despite their elevation back to the Premiership, Wolves can still make the play-offs if they win all their remaining games (although Hoddle has said that none are must-win games) and Athletico Bilbao lose to Cefys Druids in the Superleague play-off.

This evening's tea-time kick-off sees a sold-out Bescot Park welcome relegated Wolverhampton Casuals in a game which will be televised on Pie-in-the Sky TV.

Im throwing my hat in with the fans - European football will surely come to Adams park under the careful stewardship of Glynis Barber.
