Hoddle also said that he expects to still be at the club next season unless the club offer him an unacceptable amount for a transfer/working budget. It sounded a bit like making the excuse to leave before he gets the chop if you ask me......Or I might just be an optimist.

...plus was giving advise to Ady Boothroyd, saying how much easier it is in your first season etc...so that accounts for Hoddle's success at Swindon which means he has won zilch since he has had to prove himself...what a knob.

It's a shame that GH doesn't ever get taken to task by the journos. His record here (and at Spurs) is a joke in terms of playing record, money spent, and the quality of football his teams serve up. Yet nobody puts it to him in anything like those terms - basically cos the journos know $$$$$ all about football outside the Prem. Unfortunately, our Board knows $$$$$ all about football full-stop, so as long as we get 20,000+ turning up every fortnight, we don't actually get relegated, and the books more or less balance, he'll stay in a job - for SJH and the Board it's the easy way out, and requires no hard thinking or planning. The only way this cosy relationship will end is if we really vote with our feet and crowds drop to 10-12,000.
