Is it just me or were the stewards a bit on the over vigilant side on Saturday? Normally they just search bags, but they seemed to be searching everyone (outside the Steve Bull upper anyway). There was an old bloke in front of me in the queue (in his seventies I'd imagine), and he got searched, as did the bloke immediately in front of me (neither looked at all dodgy). What really pees me off is that they just waved me through - what's the matter? Don't I look threatening enough?:confused::D

one thing i dont mind is getting searched, at the end of the day its for your own safety.

Id rather people were searched and i didnt get blown up by a bomb or shot etc.

And as soon as you start letting people past because they are 70, or dont look dodgy etc, is as soon as the searches get pointless, they HAVE to be random to act as a proper deterrent, otherwise there would be a new generation of elderly terrorists. ;)

My mate has a back injury so he couldn't manage the stairs up to the Billy Wright upper.
His wife rang the Mol and they said if we went to the desk at the main entrance we could go up in the Lift.
Amazingly nobody stopped us going through the barrier, past the Wednesday coach and up the lift, past the directors area and into the stand.
It was the same in reverse at the end of the game.
Perhaps all the stewards were busy with you dodgy looking geezers!!!!!!

Indeed, but is it wise to let the dodgy looking ones past while you search everyone else? I'm not saying that I'm dodgy looking, but I frequently get followed around shops by the store security. :D

I imagine you could get away with smuggling all sorts of things into Molineux, but a coke bottle? Complete with top? You've more chance of getting Bin Ladin into the White House.

Getting searched by the stewards is fast becoming the highlight of a trip to Molineux.

The trick is to take something obvious with you like an pick-axe or a machine gun then hopefully they'll stop you and you don't have to watch the crap hidden behind the stands

I know someone who got into the dressing room area after the Norwich play off defeat. Jumped over the barrier from the North Bank, walked down the side of the pitch and down the tunnel when he finally came to his senses and tuned back and went to his seat.

I walked out of Molineux with a smile on my face once. 03/04 season I think it was.

Did you not hear about the supposed Al Qaeda threat to poison beer and burgers at Premiership football grounds (no joke). Probably the board forgetting that we may be a big club but due to our shocking incompetence we are not Premiership.

the supposed Al Qaeda threat to poison beer at football grounds.

Al Qaeda? I thought Carling were responsible.
