im with essex on this one. i really couldnt care less anymore. the england roadshow was brilliant these last 4 years with fans all over the country getting to see the england team. now its just going to be a london thing again.
tickets are going to be stupidly priced so i wont be going unless we get there in some shape or another which is unlikely really in the current climate.

But will I still get to see Robbie there?

Agreed and add that to the extra price of most things in London and it becomes a very expensive venue.

It's not really a roadshow anymore though is it? In the past they've played at Derby, Sunderland, Ipswich and Leeds etc.

The last couple of years they've mainly been at Old Trafford and Anfield. When was the last time people down south got to see an England game? Southampton and Spurs have been used, but they were years ago. Just a shame they haven't done the roadshow properly.

i think a lot of people have lost interest and so have i, and a lot of people still think it should have been built in the midlands, oh well

If it keeps scabby northerners away that can only be a good thing though?

Personally I hope when it's finished it's burnt to the ground and rebuilt where it should always have been, right next to the N.E.C.

Hopefully the FA will bring the prices down before they slip into bankruptcy over this farce of grand proportions. Looks great design wise, but mighty foolish business wise. W@@nkers.

we should have got the germans to build it, they built a lidl here within 6 weeks including block paving the massive car park. i am one so i can say it the british workmen are work shy compared to the germans, they were on site at 630am and left at gone 730 pm 7 days a week. everything is organised properly, this wembley farce is making the organisers and the workers look pathetic, the fa should hang their heads and i agree the olympics will be an even bigger $$$$ up, enjoy the scaffold you cockney $$$$$s

Germans....you must be having a larf, thay'v used Poles, Jug's, Turks & Brit's (to name a few) to do the construction work for the last fifty years.

Construction unions brought in the 38 hr week over ten years ago!

Multiplex have been doged by bad luck on the Wembley project, but internationaly thay have a good name.

I see Twickenham is on standby for Bon Jovi and Take That, but no mention of alternatives for Robbie or the Stones.

Wembley looks absolutely fantastic to go by each day, but I cannot fathom how the Millenium can be built in under a year for £90 million and be fantastic, and this white elephant drags on and on to the tune of £757 million so far.

Last night's Standard had pictures of the laid off workers on the front page, whilst in the middle a beaming Ken Livingstone led David Seaman in celebrating the opening of the improved Wembley Park station. Whoopee-$$$$ing-doo if the ground isn't ready.

Personally I hope the building work overruns for at least another year, with the penalty payments of £120,000 a day we could get the stadium for free.

These are the sort of people you want Wembley to be full of? The atmosphere is going to be amazing!

Where did i mention the old wembley? The atmosphere at the grounds while England have been touring the country was good as far as i remember. The old Wembley was $$$$.

The intention was always to return to Wembley, or a new national stadium elsewhere. This "roadshow" was never going to continue.

We should also remember that during the tour around the grounds, the atmosphere at England vs Turkey at Sunderland was the worst seen and heard at an England home game since the 80s.

Israel, September 2007, will be the one to get us on the edge of our brand new seats.

What a fiasco this is fast turning into,6 magnificent stadiums could have been built around the country for the same price.
It is undoubtedly a complete load of cack

markB U ARE RIGHT ABOUT THE PENALTY PAYMENTS
BEING £120,000 A DAY!
BUT MULTIPLEX HAVE A CAP OF £14,000,000
PENALTY PAYMENT CLAUS WHICH THE F.A.
AGREED TO SIGN!!
SO U ARE WRONG TO THINK WE WILL GET IT FOR
FREE! INFACT WITH THE CONTRACTS THE F.A. HAVE
SIGNED WITH PROMOTERS AND THE LIKE WILL PROBABLY
MEAN THE F.A. ARE IN BIGGER TROUBLE THAN PEOPLE
REALISE!!
WHICH REALY MAKES ME :) :) :) COS THEY
ARE GREEDY B*******S
