Kids season tickets for next year - £79. Apparently they have no money to pay wages so have had to bring this scheme in to help.

£69 was my first season ticket at Wolves only a few seasons ago. Junior Rover ticket.

Always the way, get you hooked and then jack up the price. :(

Which is exactly why getting kids in cheaply is a good idea. Which is exactly why pretty much every club bar Wolves have very cheap kids tickets.

It was most interesting to see the crowds Cardiff and Preston got last weekend, as compared to ours, was it not?

True.Large crowds mean everything after all.I'm sure Reading will be crying themselves to sleep because their average attendance is lower than ours.

There was a time when we were constantly in the top 2 of average attendance for this division, usually only being beaten by the yo-yo prem club like a Sunderland or Man City. Can't even claim that now. 9th!

Didn't Albion do the junior season tickets for £24 for quite a while? I know it's important to get kids interested in coming to Wolves. Which is why I find it strange they don't do the promotions very much anymore. What happened to the £5 tickets and kids for a quid and all that?

Now I've got a family its something that really winds me up. Wolves just don't seem to be interested in how to attract the next generation of suckers. I'd like to think I can go and watch the Wolves week-in, week-out as a family but the reality is we just won't be able to afford it. I suspect what will happen is that once my baby grows up I'll take him to Old Trafford once a year on his birthday or something. That helps no-one, least of all the Wolves.

It a double edged sword. If you take them to molineux in the current climate you risk turning them off for life, whereas unfortunately and I hate saying it, OT and the like is a magical experience for the kids.
A couple of weeks ago I tried to take/coax my Daughter to a Wolves game, she said if I carried on trying to insist she would report me to the social for child abuse as she has seen how this season has depressed her 2 brothers.

Shergar - those figures are completly wrong, our average attendance this season is just a little under 24,000. Plus they havent even got the correct capacitys for Coventry or Norwich

Attendances-if you exclude the League Cup and F.A. Cup games we are higher than that, someone worked it out the other day and it's actually 24,615 and well over 80% of capacity.

This figures thing has been doiung the rounds a few weeks now. As far as league attendances go Wolves are far higher than 9th.

Talking of kids prices, my mate took his 3yr old to his first game at Wolves, against Cardiff. The family enclosure was full so ended up having to sit in the wings of the Billy Wright. It cost him £18 for his 3yr old plus £30 for his ticket.

Fair to say he won't be doing it again.

I wonder if Jez noticed the amount of kids that went to the home game v Southampton. Kids were let in for 5 or 6 quid and I took my lad even though it was on Sky. He enjoyed it and now wants to go regularly but I cannot afford £250.00 (based on last seasons price) + my ticket. Jez ought to look at the prices for juniors cos if it was less than £100.00 i would buy one.

How did the top 3 sides get higher highest figures than their capacity (WW figures)??

My old man stopped having his ST last summer and has picked and choosed his games this term. He's gone to around half the home games and took my little brother with him to most. He doesnt even like going and moans of how rubbish Wolves are to my other brother who supports Liverpool.

If the football is good the next generation will come through. But the amount of football that is on the TV now, its only going to ge harder to convince kids that its worth leaving the house to see Wolves lose to the likes of Sheffield Wednesday.

True. But if the football is bad AND tickets are cheap, the next generation will still come. When I started going to Wolves in around 1983/84 the football was very, very, very bad, but I just went for a laugh as it was only a pound to get in. It was only after a few years that I became addicted and ended up giving all my money to Wolves.

Jez should take some lessons from crack dealers on pricing.
