6 of the starting lineup were brought in by Hod, all good buys/loans IMO.If we dont go up this year could he polishthe team up enough to get us up in the future???

Today we seemed to have more desire. It's typical Wolves....the ex manager comes back and the players are up for it. Hoddle has to make sure the players are up for it every game....not just when they feel like it.

Florida.
It had more to do with a younger quicker midfield than DJ coming back.
Kennedy and Anderton are to slow/old

Get him out. One half decent (at the most) performance in how many games now?

Ricketts returning to the side showed. We created chances, looked dangerous broke with pace and didnt stop and go backwards.

Rosa and Ricketts with Ince behind them - Im happy with that.

Rosa sounded the best player on the pitch in the first half.
frankowski sounded a real threat all afternoon and was unlucky

What about the need for cort's height for corners , set pieces. what are your thoughts on cort?

Im sure it was the "Lightweight" of Frankowski that got us the penalty

glasgowwolf

Must be honest holo we sounded a much better team with out Cort. I can only remember one hoof up front (by Naylor) we are to reliant on hoofing to Cort

If you think Frankowski played well then you must be blind.

Wulf not sure if you were at the same game we listened to, or the same game the commentators were at. Wayne Clarke and the WM commentator said he had a good game, and would get better as he got match sharp. You seem to be the onlly one saying he did not play well?

holloholloway

In the commentary thread they labelled clarke as mogadon man, that raised a laugh because he was talking pretty slow. Ha

glasgowwolf

Yes he was talking slow, but that does not mean he was not talking sense.

On that basis, with Hoddle being the next ex-manager, they should be
'up for it' for every game? smileys/smiley2.gif

I watched the game live. The commentators on the Internet said he had a good game, do me a favour they can barely read and write.

glasgowwolf

Every time the ball went in to the box. Frankowski was after it. All th ereports I have heard, including my father who is awful to please said Frank had a good game. As I said you are the only one saying he was awful. oh an dthe commentary was WM not the Wolf

Wulfhere

I am glad you are all so easily pleased I thought he was $$$$. If we had a proper CF today we would have won by 7. He had a few good touches and turns but in my book that does not constitute a good 90 mins. He was poor in front of goal, he ofers nothing defensively and he does nothing in the air.

glasgowwolf

Lets wait and see wulf.... I have a sneaky feeling you will be left a lone voice. As I said generally x footballers and people who watch teh game gfor a living tend tosee more than us fans. Also the report on Wolves world mentions Frankowski quite a few time interesting he seemed to be in most of Wolves attacking threat yet you consider him s!$*Edited by: glasgowwolf

Frankowski "bought" the penalty and the free-kick shortly before, both from Cox.

But while he had his best performance for Wolves today, he still didn't reach the level Moxey and Hoddle led us to believe we could expect from him.

This thread (and, historically, many others) just goes to prove that we can't agree on the best starting eleven - why should we ever agree with Hoddle's?

Any team needs to play to it's strengths. After some of this season's performances you'd have to wonder what the strengths are of some of the teams/formations we've put out.

Essex Wolf

The players that came in today played far better IMHO than those they replaced. The performance and way in which Wolves played was more assured and entertaining to watch and I would sincerely hope GH leaves the side alone unless he has to make a change.

Rosa may not make next weeks game but I'm hoping he will.

Franky's best game so far in a wolves shirt. created one goal and was unlucky not to score. some wolves 'fans' will decide to undermine him whatever his actual performance. i'm sure they feel it does some good to undermine our players confidence when they're on the up

Agree weasel, Frankowski could score hatful set a load up. But some have made their mind up that he is carp and a waste of money, the same fans have said that Rosa is carp. I'll jst ignore thos comments on how we played and read the comments of fans with no pre conceived ideas

At least he has an excuse for this, unlike Cort.

I agree with you here. It p!$*es me off that so many 'fans' are writing hin off before he has had a proper chance to prove himself, as they did with Rosa...who yesterday was probably the best midfielder on show. Yesterday frankowski played his first full 90 minutes and i thought he played well- didn't have a clear cut chance to score from but went close with freekick and caused more problems and did more running than cort ever does.

Don't be seduced by one good performance. It doesn't make up by a long shot for the crap we've been served all season pretty much. The table at the end of the season (and our performance in the Play-Offs, if we get there) should determine whether he should be sacked.

Essex Wolf

Fair point RW but better we run into soom good form now, better late than never as such.

Rw i do not think any of us have been seduced. We are happy that they have played as we know they can.
For the most part the performanes have been p!$* poor
