Super goals all 3 of them, especially Ali and Cort's volley. Great techninque.

Crazy decision by Edwards to play the ball but that aside, anyone else feel Postie was slightly at fault for the ball going in the back of the net?

He seemed to make sure it went in by punching it over the line. Maybe Ross would have got to the header first as well?

No matter though, we won which is the main thing.

Rob Edwards would have been a bit disappointed if CC hadn't weighed in. And without being negative, KM should have released JA before he passed it, and luckily got the ball back. What with that and the penalty.Perhaps our luck has turned.......well done lads. Gives us something to start getting excited about at last.

It wasn't so much that he played the ball, more that he played it with his weaker foot and could have used his right to play it the way he was facing. I don't think you can blame Postma, he could hardly have anticipated that.

Covwolf

Who thinks Postma, would have saved the penalty, looked at it a few time in slow motion and freeze frame, he not only went the right way, but reached all the way to the post, I think he would have saved it anyway.

Excellent goals including the one by Hull's Cort plus a brilliant own goal!

Aliadiere's pace can do real damage and I think he and Miller could wreak havoc with the right service. Cort looked very sharp for the third - so perhaps he can now weigh in with some goals too. Come on boys time to let rip.

What are your thoughts on frankowski being dropped.

What are your thoughts on frankowski being dropped.

I feel sorry for him really cause he hasn't exactly had many chances. Just hope when he finally gets a clearcut chance he takes it and turns into a goal machine.

As is well known, I always thought Franko's was an unwise, panic signing and that it would take time for him to settle in any case. And time is precisely what we havn't got. I am also on record as saying that Aliadiere will have a greater impact ultimately one way or another. His pace is precisely what we have been missing and he is well experienced in British football.

Let's hope Franko doesn't get down about being left on the bench and that as each week goes by he gets more and more acclimatised. He still may have a crucial role to play and is a very good reserve to be able to call on. But £1.4m for him wasridiculous imv. And no I won't mention the age issue......

I''ve vented my frustration but he's here now and there is nothing we can do about it. We can't change how the manager thinks and who he buys, but at least he had the foresight to sign alidierre, a player he recognised had the pace to frighten defences at this level. It's perplexing that glenn didn't sign mcleod because he too is a very fast player. I think glenn was trying to sign mcleod and frankowski but the spaniards kept pushing the price up so we could only sign the one player. It was a mistake advertising the fact that we had 2 million including wages to spend, elche must have heard this. If we somehow fluked promotion all this talk about spending 1.4 million will be small beer as we would have 7 million to spend. The question is: can the defence and midfield hold up until the end of the season, and can alidierre remain injury free. Maybe we should drop lescott for craddock and craddock is more dominant.

Frankowski could still have an important part to play this season, I don't think it's wise to right him off just yet.
He has only started 3 or 4 games since joining.

Lescott needs resting, he seems to be carrying an injury, the early part of the season he was superb, had Andy Johnson in his pocket etc now he seems slow and even Richard Naylor nearly outpaced him against Ipswich.

Lets not ruin him completely.

We have no other match fit centre halves though. Gyepes, Craddock and Lowe are injured and Clyde hasn't started a first team game in years so there's no way he would be better than even an out of form Lescott. So who were you thinking of playing instead exactly?

The other thing I wanted to say was did you see how high Carl Cort jumped to volley the ball in, he got his shooting foot to the defender's shoulder at least. How many of us could jump and get our leg 5 foot in the air without a trampoline? smileys/smiley32.gif

Although from all the reports, Hull should have taken something from the game, if one just sees the Wolves World video, one would come out with these subjective comments:-

A) Great Goal by Ali.

B) Penalty given away by Lescott was useless, the opponent was still by the by line, and there were other Wolves players defending. Can't Lowe replace Lescott after tomorrow when he can again play for Wolves. Look at Burnley, since he returned back to Wolves, they have gone down well in the table, from a team fighting for a playoff place.

C) Postma would have saved the penalty had it been within the post.

D) Two of our defenders went together to clear the ball and it was not cleared properly, infact it fell in the feet of Leon Cort who scored a beauty. Our defenders could have easily played it safe for a corner rather than putting the ball in the centre of the penalty area.

E) Very good goal by Miller and Ali.

F) What a silly auto goal. What was the purpose of defending that ball. The ball could have been left to roll out or corner. Another bad defending. Also though Postma may have been taken by surprise, he could have put the ball over the bar for a corner.

G) Another beauty for the third goal by Wolves, which Carl Cort took very well.

H) All in all I would conclude that our players scored 3 beautiful goals totally worked out in open play. Hull 2 goals and the penalty, came only from defective defence.

Obviously he can't be rested at the moment, but he could have been rested against Crewe, Burnley or Ipswich quite easily.

Having looked at Rob's OG, I'd say there was a shout for a foul on our defender on the line, if Green hadn't off rattled into him it's possible he could have headed that out....maybe?

What bad defending, good job the strikers were on form.Lescott looked like an amature for the penalty.

Two of our own players challenging each other in the air and then managing to lay it off perfectly for L Cort.

I don't know what Edwards was doing but it nearly cost us the game. Its no good the strikers being in form now if the defence are going to c**k up. Hopefully it's a one off and they will work on it before QPR.
