View Full Version : Accrinton Stanley.
11 points clear at the top of the conference.
It would be grand to see them return to league status coz they are one of the good old old 'uns just like ourselves.
Way things are going they will be thrashing us in no time and that Scouse kid can drink his milk to them.
Good luck lads.smileys/smiley2.gif
They have been in the wilderness for far to long, I hope their success continues smileys/smiley1.gif

They should be fine, it's not like a team could possibly be 11 points clear at this stage of the season and mess it up, is it? smileys/smiley7.gif
While we're at it, let's bring back Workington Town and Bradford Park Avenue. I miss those two great teams.

Accrinton Stanley - League Founders and no longer$a big club!
Wrong - different club
Accrington FC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accrington_F.C.)
Accrington Stanley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accrington_Stanley_F.C.)
Accrington Stanley are a non-league football club from Accrington in Lancashire, in the north-west of England. They played in the Football League between 1921 and 1962. They are not to be confused with Accrington F.C., who were one of the original twelve founder members of the Football League.
Who are / were Accrinton (sic) ??
Great to see Stanley doing so well, though Wolves fans should be reminded not to take an eleven point gap at this stage of the season for granted!!
Gary Roberts - left winger, and Ian Craney - central midfielder, are two names to watch out for and will play at a higher level in the very near future. However, withWolves' reluctance tosign any lower league players, if and when they appear at Molineux it will no doubt be in opposition colours.
For those that didn't know, Cookie is Player Coach at Stanley.
Well done cookie, keep up the good work.
