This is not a pop at the player.
Why have we spent £1.4m on a player who is a penalty area striker, someone who likes the ball played into him in the area, and play a system that robs him being anything other than a player on the edge of the game. Yesterday his best 2 chances came from $$$$$$$ ups from the Crewe defenders. I feel sorry for the bloke....one occassion he in the 2nd half he picks up a ball on the edge of the area and instantly turns and player the ball towards the penalty spot for his attacking partner to latch onto...........shame that Cort was on the right wing and Miller was at left back at the time.

As I said on another thread ...this is what happened to Vio Ganea ..who was really a very positive player ..I predicted Frankowski would become the new Ganea for exactly the same reasons.
Kenny, this has nothing to do with the money, because the Frankowski of a month ago was worth the money despite his age and despite what many posters have said.. What is important is that he is immediately devalued as soon as he plays for us ..like Ganea ..like Miller ..like Seol ...Like cort ...like Leon Clarke and like Ndah. We play Frankie and/or Vio in the middle as iff they are as big as Cort ..and play Cort on the wing as if he is Miller and Miller as if he is Cameron and/or Naylor. Next week Postma in central midfield

Hello again. When Rooney was transferred it was a case of a move working in the best interests of both clubs - sadly as is the case with many moves, this could well turn out to be the complete reverse.
Let me tell you what has happened to MY team. Since Elche went 5th, 1 point behind the automatic promotion places on 18 December (the day Hoddle allegedly watched Frankowksi and therefore he was aware of Wolves interest) we are 7 games without a win and now closer to relegation than promotion. The President has been replaced and the manager sacked. Last night I watched us put in a superb performance of attacking, passing football only to see many opportunies go begging and we ended up losing 0-1 to promotion-chasing Levante. There is no doubt that had Frankowski been playing for us last night he would have scored at least once. As a result of this transfer we have been turned from serious promotion contenders to also-rans spiralling out of control.
When I knew that a Championship team was interested in him I thought that Wolves would be one of the few where he could prosper - however to be fair some posters did say that Wolves were not even creating chances for anyoneto miss and this is no use to Frankowski. I stand by what I said before that he is worth 1.4m for any team that can pass or cross the ball into dangerous areas. For me it is not about his adapting to the English game, he doesn't need to adapt, if he has three chances he will score with at least one.
Comparisons, in another thread, with Izale McLeod's scoring record and whether he is a better risk are (IMHO) a joke. Frankowski has proved over the years that he score in 4 totally different domestic leagues and in international football. McLeod has scored 37 times in 100 league starts (+ 28 sub),31 ofhis goals in the 3rd tier of English football. Yet his price was almosthalf that of Frankowski at 600k+. In terms of risk, he might well come off and be a prize asset, however of he fails he will be of no use to anyone except a League 1 side and if anyone seriously thinks a League 1 side will pay more than £100k for a player they are mistaken. To me that ismore of a gamble. Frankowski's value may dip dramatically, however regardless of his form with Wolves he could be worth even more by August!
I hope that Wolves can get it right and make the best use of what I believe is a top-class player. However whilst some of you may decry his purchase, give a few seconds thought to the chaos his departure has caused out here at the side of the Med!
gorndonchas,
I'm sorry to hear of your teams mis-fortune, this move seems to have brought no good for anyone so far.
If only Wolves could sell a player for a large profit and then have the
CEO and manager resign over the deal, they would be dancing in the
streets of Wolverhampton.
Frankowski had two good chances yesterday, one he seemed to completely
mis-kick and the other was well blocked by a defender. I can imagine
that he is regretting the move himself now.

I did say at the time that Hoddle had managed to turn Rebrov from an international striker into a nobody during his time at Spurs.

Rebrov was bought in the mad days of high transfers, and Spurs thought they were getting another Shevchenko.
Like we bought Roussel because he played well with Robbie Keane.
