No, it's not a wind up and no I dont post often and yes I am as frustrated as the rest of you, but I think the time has come to bite this particular bullet. I want Hoddle out! Wierd I know, but I do want him out, but i believe he has to stay for the goodof the club. I want Hoddle to succeed at this club and I believe he can and will.
I am no lover of the fare being served up at present, it's a disgrace if the truth be told and yes we have players all over the pitch playing in sometimes bizarre positions, CC for instance. This is because Hoddle does not have the players at his disposal to play the formation he wants.
I KNOW that he should recognise this and change the way we play to suit the players he has and this is where he is being naive, thinking that players can play anywhere.
We have changed managers regularly over the course of the last 10 years. It has achieved nothing apart from one brief sojourn into the prem masterfully botched by Sir Jack.
We need continuity and stability, we need to rebuild in the close season (yes, I think it has gone this season), the dross and 'want aways' earning vast sums for precious little return need to leave and Hoddle needs to bring in the players he wants to do the job we all want to see him do.

HW, I have been backing GH since he arrived and am among the few who wanted him to stay but the last two games have shown me more than enough to know the players have no interest and the manager no ability to motivate them.
Tactics are poor and with the squad Wolves have there is absolutely no excuse on his earth available to Hoddle as to why Wolves didn't win yesterday.Crewe are the leagues worst team and were missing their Capt as well as a couple of other of the better players yet still held us.
The result was a disgrace and the performance worse, time for Hoddle to go.Edited by: Essex Wolf

You say he doesn't have the players at his disposal well How many times does it need to be said:
IT'S NOT THE PLAYERS WHO ARE THE PROBLEM.
IT'S THE LACK OF DIRECTION/TACTICS/FORMATION.
IT'S 100% DOWN TO HODDLE.
If Hoddle went tomorrow any decent run of the mill guy could get our lot playing properly within weeks. That is clear, most of them are internationals they don't go bad overnight.
REMOVE HODDLE AND GET A PROPER MANAGER WHO ISN'T A PONCE WITH A BIG EGO.

HW stability comes from having good management staff around even if they move on. It is not by Keeping poor managers.

Couldnt have put it better myself players dont become bad overnight.
But to bring in a manager that hasnt had a job for ages before we bring
him in out of the wilderness surely thats telling us something smileys/smiley5.gif

Hoddle is not staying if we dont go up. We cant afford him and he wont work on a shoostring. Those pleading not to sack him because of consistency of management have to realise that he wont be here in the summer and your argument essentially flawed.
The only debate here is can Hoddle take us on a run of results from now to the end of the season and bridge a 9 point gap. There is only one answer to this question and it is No. If we got someone else in could we bridge the gap ?? possible but doubtful I'd say but it would give the new man 6 months worth of time to get ready for next year if nothing else and also give us more of a chance this year.
There can only be one decision here, he has to go and now !!

we wont keep hoddle at the end of the season so where is your logic ?
Why keep this man for the rest of the season when his fate is sealed.

When Hod came to the clubI thought he would improve the existing team by his "superior coaching skills". Then gradually he would alter the team by getting rid of players who couldn't fit in to the new style and obtain more skillful players who could play his way.
At the end last season there did seem to be a general improvement and subject to the obvious need to get better players, in some positions, it was looking fairly hopeful.Unfortunately, the Summer went by with little activity, this season started with a team little improved and in some cases worsened. Instead of gradual improvement there has been the opposite.
We now have a situation where players are being asked to fit into a system they clearly do not believe in, or notsuited to their skills. Hodgod is trying to get Championship standard players to play like Chelski without spending the £150M needed.
He is failing all round, his squad cannot play his way, he is seemingly incapable of adjusting his tactics to suit his players, and in any case the squad is unbalanced. We are in the worst of all worlds now, becausewe have neither a good hard working "Championship style" side or a skillful "Premiership style"team.
Pity it hasn't worked out with Hodgod, but it hasn't, that's football ,failure is the normso there's nothing unusual in parting company with a manager.
Unfortunately for us fans a new manager will have to make do with an unbalanced squad of players until he can impose his own way of playing / change the players by wheeling and dealing. This will take time ( again !) and yet another few seasons in the "divison from hell" looms!
