From BBC - Where does this leave the Rat ?

Portsmouth have completed the signing of Benfica striker Azar Karadas on a one-year loan deal.

The arrangement includes an option to bring the 23-year-old Norwegian to Fratton Park on a full transfer.

Pompey chairman Milan Mandaric said: "We have strengthened our strike force with Azar's signing and this will give us further options."

Mandaric added: "Our manager Alain Perrin rates him highly. He is an excellent English style target man."

With three Norway caps and one international goal, target man Karadas played for Brann and Rosenborg before switching to Benfica for £1.5m.

The Portuguese club noticed him when he scored against them in a 2-1 Champions League win for Rosenborg.

Last season he started only 10 games for Benfica but still scored four goals.

Karadas joins French pair Laurent Robert and Gregory Vignal, Republic of Ireland defender Andy O'Brien and Columbia midfielder John Viafara among the club's summer signings.

The club sold striker Yakubu to Middlesbrough for £7.5m and Portsmouth hope Karadas will give them a presence in attack similar to the Nigerian.

If as the report says, he is an "excellent English style target man",
then I doubt it would in itself stop any move for the rat, seeing as
you would probably want someone like that to partner him.

Well if he is an english style target man that should not conflict with
Pompey needing a quick forward who can use his talents to find the

Could Portsmouth be trying to swap Camara for Fuller?

Or are they one of the clubs who are awaiting to sign a few more players before considering our bid??

Speculation is rife as Southampton are supposed to be now interested in Fuller.

I think with all newspaper speculation the Journalists tend to 'develop' stories from the smallest of gossip and then just grow them. Most transfers seem to happen without the papers even getting a sniff of them.
