View Full Version : Do loyalty points reset at any point? Visage Wolf 27-01-2006, 11:53 And if they dont, wont we eventually end up with hardly any tickets being available to new fans? Mutchy 27-01-2006, 11:54 End of each season I should think? Space Wolf 27-01-2006, 11:54 End of each season I believe. Points from last season weren't carried forward to this season. Kenny-11 27-01-2006, 11:55 Every season as far as I am aware. Season Ticket holders start with 1000 Glory Hunters with 0 you get 10 points for every game (just aways for STH) and then when the new season starts you go back to the beginning. I think IMAB 27-01-2006, 11:57 Why would it effect you? Jack Regan 27-01-2006, 12:04 yep they definitelygo back to 0at the end of the season, had over 1100 points by the end of last season, back to 1000 after purchasing this years season ticket. Not sure if they changed my supporter number or just reset the points on it. Visage Wolf 27-01-2006, 12:08 Fairy-nuff whitemouse75 27-01-2006, 12:09 Not sure if they changed my supporter number or just reset the points on it. supporter number never changes. romulus 27-01-2006, 12:16 They seem to be no use to STH ,you cant use them to get extra tickets and we already have an entitlement to the use of our own seats for home games so WHEN we beat MU and draw our next round away will I be able to jump the queue? whitemouse75 27-01-2006, 12:25 They seem to be no use to STH ,you cant use them to get extra tickets and we already have an entitlement to the use of our own seats for home games so WHEN we beat MU and draw our next round away will I be able to jump the queue? no, why would you? Slip On Shoes 27-01-2006, 12:32 They seem to be no use to STH ,you cant use them to get extra tickets and we already have an entitlement to the use of our own seats for home games so WHEN we beat MU and draw our next round away will I be able to jump the queue? They're not much use to a STH for home games but they will be of use to those who go to away games with ticket priority, although with the significant decline in our away following this season and last I doubt it will be used at all this season. Tomasz 27-01-2006, 12:38 Season Ticket holders start with 1000 Glory Hunters with 0 You'd have to hunt pretty darn hard for glory with the wolves! Kenny-11 27-01-2006, 13:00 Season Ticket holders start with 1000 Glory Hunters with 0 You'd have to hunt pretty darn hard for glory with the wolves! Bet you I can bag a few on Sunday....... Well for a home game loyalty points have no meaning as you are guaranteed your seat. They come in for away matches. Remember you start with 1000 points anyway so you are way ahead of non-STH's. So the only people you are up against for tickets for away games are STH's who have been to a lot of away games and in truth if you are STH and been to all/most away games you deserve to be first in the queue. Last season v Arsenal was the first time the loyalty points were used and I think I got my ticket in the second wave because I had 1030 points and the first lot of tickets went on sale to people with 1040 or more points. Big Saft Kid 27-01-2006, 13:09 I would have thought that having a season ticket the previous season or several seasons should count. For domestic reasons I haven't been able to get to the Mol (or away) very often this season, but over the last couple of years I've spent nearly £2000 on 4 season tickets - which counts for sweet FA in terms of 'loyalty points' this season. Yet someone who didn't go at all last season and has been to a couple of games this, gets priority over me. Is that fair? Does that make such a person more 'loyal' than me? I don't think so! hampshire wolf 27-01-2006, 13:27 I would have thought that having a season ticket the previous season or several seasons should count. Where would it stop though??????? The Loyalty points scheme is one of the best idea's the club has come up with imo... Where would it stop though??????? The Loyalty points scheme is one of the best idea's the club has come up with imo... The idea is fine, it's how they apply it that isn't. If they used, say,the last three or four seasons as well as the current season to give points, that would even things out and reward loyalty over a longer period than just one season. They've certainly got records of all tickets bought that go back that far, presumably at the touch of a computer button. whitemouse75 27-01-2006, 14:49 so you would be able to get a ticket for sun because you went 4 years ago despite not having been this season, whereas someone who goes week in week out for the first time because they've just started work and can afford it have to wait in line after you? grow up.smileys/smiley11.gif MobNet Wolf 27-01-2006, 14:52 I dont think they do reset, I went to the TO the other day after not purchasing any tickets this season, and still had 40 on my supporter number from god knows when. This is waht inspired my question. In a situation as you have described you'd have a situation where someone who bought a seaston ticket 2 years ago would have the same rights as a current season ticket holder. That hardly seems fair. hampshire wolf 27-01-2006, 15:38 I dont think they do reset, I went to the TO the other day after not purchasing any tickets this season, and still had 40 on my supporter number from god knows when. So far this season I've been to three games - two at home, one away. Commitments at home (and I live over 100 miles away) mean I can't get to the Mol as often as I would like, at leastfor the moment. If the word 'loyalty' means anything it means supporting the club (and spending your money on it) for a long period, and certainly more than just this season - in my case it's 50 years. Of course I'm not suggesting that the club should go back that far even it could, but I would have thought that attendance for anumber of recent seasons (say the last two or three) should count for something. And BTW, at my age I don't need to 'grow up', sonny. |
