I'm predicting they both play as we revert to the two wide with Cort down the middle.....

Cunning!

I think he will stick with 3 - 5 - 2 to ensure we out muscle Manure depleted midfield and have a little bit extra at the back.

Of the choices given I've voted for Franky but what's to say GH won't play KM and him together and ignore Cort altogether???

He may opt for HW's choice, not that I think it would achieve much but with GH and his tactics, well......................??

If he starts Miller before Cort then I would think that would result in more trauma with the possibility of Cort trowing his teddy in the corner. Hoddle and Miller have made their choices GH wont drop his key striker for some one who wants to play elsewhere unless he's more stupid than I thought.

Don't disagree with any of that SW but with GH you just never know what to expect. Edited by: Essex Wolf

I thought of putting Clarke in but you would get more movement and guile from a turd.

Wouldn't it be great if he came on from the subs bench with minutes to go and scored the winner.smileys/smiley36.gif

Wonder if the so called supporters who boo him would cheer?

Be suprised if Franeck starts.

So Miller and Cort.

Miller can show Celtic fans what they have to look forward to, to be replaced by Franeck to show us what we can look forward to.

Its a 4pm K.O, so Clarke will be able to have an extra couple of pints - maybe that'll spur him on a bit more. I always run better when i'm a bit p!$*ed.

Not at all but seeing as Vis loves to question most anything I say it's hilarious to note he believes the stories re Clarke.

WIth Frank in Spain til tomorrow, I'd be suprised to see him start, or be on the bench. Reckon he'll be upstairs with Jez introducing him to his pies and bitter... just to get him so pie-eyed he won't realise what he's let himself in for.

BM, Spain to England is hardly an arduous journey at 1st classsmileys/smiley2.gif and he is training with the team tomorrow so I reckon he's back today?

that question is so leading you wouldn't even get it past John Deed!

Franky to start, We wont get many chances to score so need someone on the pitch that can actually stick the ball in the net when the chance arrives.. Along side Cort. He is likely to cause more problems due to his height and if Ferdinand doesn't play Cort will cause problems

Got to play Cort, he height will cause Ferdinand and Brown problems. I'd have thought Miller would start with Frankowski on the bench.

Franky to come on with 1/2 hour to go and will cause a few problems . We will however be at least 2 down because of "Patience" so it wont really matter but will show him to the fans.....

got to go with cort and franky. theyve got to score the goals in the
league to get us up - lets see what they can do together. and 1 cup
game together means they know a bit more about how the other plays -
better for the league.

wonder if he might play all 3 in one of hodds more crazy formations?
someone who watched franky's 100 goals said he often cut in from wide
to score....

Has to be Cort and Franko, perfect game for them to work on their partnership. Miller can still play a vital role from the bench for the last 15-20mins in games.

I'm just praying he plays Franko up front and not waste him out wide in a 3 man attack to accommodate Miller.

Apparently Frankowski (Franek to his friends!) has a reputation as a super sub. I imagine Hoddle will start with Cort and Miller, with Frankowski making an appearance of some sort in the second half.

Personally I'd like to see Ganea play against Ferdinand. smileys/smiley4.gif

Even if KM remains fully fit the rest of this season he can only play another 16 games for us, unless we reach he PO's and he sees them out as well, and he and CC already know each others game etc.

We need Franky and CC to strike, no pun intended, as a good a working relationship ASAP and playing against Man Utd, even if they are a little understrength, is as good a test as they will face all season.

Rhoswolf

EW - totally agree, an ideal opportunity for Cort and Franky to start developing a partnership in a game were the pressure should be off, just go out and enjoy it and score 3 or 4 goals between them! smileys/smiley2.gif

With his fresh arrival and a sore ankle by the sounds of it I expect Miller to start and Franek to come off the bench in the second half.

Miller shouldnt even be in the squad. He has made his choice, and we have found a replacement so there is no need to pamper his ego. Lets get Cort and Franny together from the off and get the partnership started

EasternWolf

I would play Franek and Ganea. Cort on the bench. Miller nowhere to be seen. He made his choice, he is not a Wolves player in his heart.

I've no problem with Miller. He's more mobile than the rest of our forwards and unsettles defences. I think a quick counterattack is our best hope. I believe he is still commited to Wolves and has been one of our hardest working players this season and besides, he still needs to win over the majority of Celtic fans - what better way than to score against United?

Brizzlewolf
28-01-2006, 20:04
Miller will start but subbed after 60 mins with the score 0-0.

Franky will score the winner with 10 mins left. The Sun headline on Monday reads "Fergie Pole-Axed"
