What would be the "right" results for us to see happen today...

Blackburn - QPR
Bolton - Wigan

Both to draw?

Blackburn v QPR is a decent game, end to end. - will be very surprised if there aren't goals in this - there's already been 3 decent chances.

Essex Wolf

If Blackburn were to beat QPR by 2 goals Wolves could actually move up a place without even playing.

So Blackburn to beat QPR and the other game a draw.

blackburn 1 up. Yak.

They've deserved that, Yakubu swivels just outside the box and then hits it under the keeper who should have done better.

18. QPR........... 22

20. Wigan........ 18

Pete, Blackburn are currently on 18 points and have a GD of minus 20.

You have possibly viewed a table which shows Blackburn on 19 points as they show things as they are at the moment although Blackburn have just gone a goal up.

As it stands Blackburn are now on 21 points and minus 19 goals and QPR level on points to Wolves with the same GD.

Hull-wolf

Interesting results. Certainly not bad ones. Two draws would have been better but I'd rather this than the alternative, which would see us behind both Bolton and QPR and seemingly chasing them to avoid the last relegation spot.

A win tomorrow and I'll be ecstatic. A loss and....gulp.

Great to see Bolton lose.

They travel to Chelsea and Man Citeh next. If they lose both (fingers crossed) they'll be on 20 points from 27 games.

I still think Wigan are doomed (fingers crossed once more) but Blackburn could mount something from here I suppose.

Even when we beat them last week, I thought QPR would cruise to survival. If they don't pick up a fair few points from their next 3 games then they face the very real possibility of being in the bottom 3 with arguably the toughest run-in possible.

A win tomorrow would be MASSIVE.

Not that it really matters at this stage, but how do they decide positions if GD, GS and GA are all the same?

Aggregate results between each other?

If there is a vital issue at stake (ie relegation spot, European place, etc), then there would be a one-off neutral playoff.

Biggest surprise for me was the Wigan result but i see Bolton more a danger TBH.
Really pleased to see that `a new manager effect doesn`t always work` with QPR.
If they could lose there next two home games than they are big trouble.

Out of those think Blackburn have the biggest hope of survival as seem to be the most in-form team at the bottom.

Blackburn are an established club with some good quality players throughout their side. It's no shame competing with them, if they had decent owners they'd have the basis of a squad to be higher up in the table (as they were before Big Sam was sacked).

Disagree in all honesty.
I remember them as division two..only courtesy Walker they made the step and beyond..in times when it was possible(did SJH take notice?I think he might have done!)
It is no shame competing with them..agree..but we have the foundations..and have had those for quite a while..to be able to look down on them with some ease.
We are still underachieveing IMO..Rovers given their current fundamenta are not.

Other than a spell around the 70s/80s, Blackburn have always been a top flight club. In fact, since being founder members of the Football League in 1888, they've spend 72 years in the top flight. In comparison, we've spent 63 years at the top.

We've won the same amount of titles, themselves six FA Cups to our four, and our attendances have more or less always been within a couple of thousand of each other (in fact their record attendance is higher).

I'm not sure what point you're getting at to be honest?
