Just checked and its forecast snow today, 2moro and sunday. Its happened before on derby day and really wouldnt suprise me if our most looked forward to game is postponed again!

I hope im wrong.

I think poor conditions would probably suit us anyhow. I reckon snow would effect Albion's style of football more than ours.

Essex Wolf
09-02-2012, 09:26
With undersoil heating and the fact that the club are aware of the possibility of snow there is no excuse for the game to be called of as regards the playing surface.

Only reason for a postponement is if the roads and paving about the ground are deemed dangerous or the snow is so heavy it effects visibility.

Edgmond Wolf
09-02-2012, 09:28
The last time it was called of was due to the surrounding pathways

They've got over 48 hours to shift the snow which will fall overnight tonight in time for the lunchtime kick off on Sunday. If they can't make the stadium and surrounding area safe in time for then, then some sackings are in order.

Last time it snowed, the pitch and the stadium were ready and available. It was the surrounding footpaths and roads that were the problem which is the councils responsibility.

Not at all Bull. Might mean the person picking the time and tactics realises that square pegs don't work too well in round holes and that when the blatantly obvious stares you full in the face changes are needed long before they take place under Mick.:D

The form we've shown over the last 3 years, how can I look forward to any game? We're more likely to lose than win. Not that I really look forward to any BCD anyway, but a top flight BCD where we're in the muck is always more nerve wracking. Maybe if they agree to play with 10 men we might have a chance...

All joking apart I know exactly where you're coming from.

Always a great day if you win but a disaster if you lose. Even after an encoraging win at QPR I can't help but feel it was a game where Wolves dropped lucky and the three points were easier come by than they would have been. In fact had QPR have kept all 11 players on the pitch I don't think Wolves would have taken a point let alone 3 but they were given a chance and took it so credit where it's due.

But last saturdays win along with the return of O'Hara, introduction of Bassong and Doyle finding the net are just maybe the sort of things that can change a season around, lets hope so anyway.

Bull Army
09-02-2012, 10:43
I hope so. Two wins on the bounce this season is nothing to scoff at. Just hope we wouldn't follow it like we did after the Fulham game in August. A draw v Villa and 7 defeats on the bounce wasn't it?

Berlin Wolf
09-02-2012, 10:53
Would it be churlish to hope Mick and Connor get snowed in?

Not Clipboard! I heard he was responsible for our four pronged attack at QPR in the second half.

I hope we will attack West Brom like that. Might be a high scoring game...

Essex Wolf
09-02-2012, 10:55
Bull the way this season has gone I approach most every game thinking things can only get better and just maybe after last saturday things have turned for the club but only time will tell.

i fear woy is a much better tactician than mick. woy will keep it tight and as so many teams do, wait until we make our own mistakes and pick us off, unless bassong is good enough to marshall the defence and cover for rog or a rejuvenated doyle spoils their party.

Bull Army
09-02-2012, 12:18
I can only hope Albion come into the game with a similar attitude as they had last season - if so, we'll pick them off. Unfortunately, they didn't secure safety last week, so they'll be coming into this game with more purpose than last time.

Zubes isn't due to play until the reserve match on Monday, so neither Foley nor Ward has any cover at full back. JOH and Edwards are both injured again, so Ned and Forde and Jonnson are our only central midfielders with first team experience and one will have to be on the bench with an academy player.

So - let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

There is snow on the track in front of the North Bank, so I think the under soil heating must be on. The seats look tinged with white too!

Peering through the gap between the NB and SB stand, I can see some white stuff, so the streets around the ground must be icy.
