not to be confused with Lassana Diarra!

free agent, plays cdm, only 30... only obstacle would be; wages

could do a job as we are so short in midfield at the moment

:p

He looks like a good player. I'm really surprised he has not got fixed up with a club.

Having had a look at his picture on wikipedia...

I would estimate that he bears similarity to Kanu, Taribo West and Okocha etc...in that he looks like he might possibly be nearer to 40 than 30...just an opinion though!

might be mistaken, but wasn't this the guy that was rumoured to want close to 100k to come on trial?

This made me laugh off his Wikipedia page

In 2006-07, Diarra was a staple player in Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello's 2-defensive midfielder system. He lost his first team spot at one point, when he and Antonio Cassano were caught on camera making fun of Capello during a training session. He played a pivotal role in the 2007-08 league success under new coach Bernd Schuster, and established himself as the first-choice defensive midfielder, causing teammate Fernando Gago to play higher upfield.

Imagine if he came here :D

Until we signed our Icelandic one for the future I had no idea as to which came first in the age old conundrum

Now it is obvious that the chicken came way before the Egg

It is possible that the free transfer would too

Good call SW.

Hopefully MIck knows how to use the Internet too, or knows someone who does. We have to find someone. How desperate is this though!

I think mick is just going to make do with what he has, I don't think we will sign any free agents...

I realise he has been bought up before but with frimpong now being out surely he is worth a shout. The rumours were we had refused a trial because of the fee he wanted, 100k i read and i admit that is a bit steep, but couldnt we offer him this as a performance related benefit. Ie if he gets a contract with us we pay him that on top of any signing on fee negotiated. If however he doesnt do enough he only gets 25/50% of the payment. That way we are exposed to a lesser degree if he is not what we want and even if we do the fee is rolled into his signing on fee which you negotiate with the 100k in mind

Doncaster have been looking at him and Piquionne in the past week.

All transfers overseen by our good friend Mr McKay so not exactly unexpected. And yet they're still 5 points adrift of safety in the second tier of English football albeit with a game in hand over Millwall directly above them.

Premier League experience eh
