We're still able to bring in free agents. Now that Frimmy is gone, is there someone suitable out there we can replace him with?

Alexander Hleb is the obvious one I can think of or Bolo Zenden, but he is getting on a bit.

Is Steed malbranque (sp) still a free agent as there were reports he quit football to care for his cancer stricken son last season. Although it was later revealed that he doesnt have a son.

Now he's bankrupt he would cost much in wages and he's on a non contract at Kidderminster.

Be funny if Fotheringham saved our season! I've never seen him. Only know him from threads on here.

There must be a list of free agents somewhere. Get on it Mick.

Tried to have a look on the PFA website www.thepfa.com and all they have is contact numbers and Emails of local officials, what a $$$$ poor attempt from an organisation that must represent 1000's of current and ex players.

Terrible bad luck losing Frimmy but Eggy can be his emergency stand in.

No Berlin. The Egg looked a shadow of what a PL player needs to be and in our team at times that's saying something!

Eggy would struggle to work a turnstile let alone attempt to play Premier League Football. I know they say he's an Icelandic international but at what? Penguin Throwing?

Have we got enough already??

With Bassong strengthening the back four will this be enough.

We have O Hara back who played well against QPR. If we can keep him fit he with Bassong just might make the difference

..... and getting Kightly back in is a definite bonus after his form v Villa, especially first half. What exactly is wrong with him anyway???

You can't sign someone who is attached to a club.

Presumably, if a "suitable" replacement could be found and, if all parties agreed, the current club and player could mutually agree to terminate the existing contract; not likely I know.

Don't think they can, you can only sign someone that was a free agent when the window ended. Otherwise we could offer Nicky Maynard a 5mill signing on fee to pay off his contract at West Ham and bring him in outside the window, for example.

Far as I know Nelson didn't sign for Spurs until after the window was shut but crucially he'd cancelled his Blackburn contract on the night of the window closing, before 11pm.

Dunno what our deal with Forest is, but that would be my call as well. Good if he gets games at Forest, but would be nice to have an emergency recall facility

Good if he gets games at Forest, but would be nice to have an emergency recall facilityMy gut feeling is that he would have had to be included in the 25 to be able to play. I think it is only free agents and under 21s that can be allowed to play without being listed at the end of the transfer window.
