Confirmed that he is travelling but will he play??

He states he is not match fit yet and has only played 45 minutes last Monday.

Personally I would start him for the first half and see how he goes

Come on the Wolves

Our lack of creativity in the middle and lack of someone who is comfortable on the ball has been brutally exposed in the last few games, welcome back Jamie.

He has to play , Mick is drinking in the last chance saloon. A loss at tomorrow could spell the end of his reign .

I don't think he will start, seems a little too risky. Remember we will still have 14 games left after QPR, and if he does get injured again that will more or less be the end of his season. He will more than likely be on the bench and will only come on if he's really needed.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. He simply has to play. I cant bear the thought of Jonsson playing!

Yes, there is that. He must play.

If he starts he'll play in the hole I reckon with Edwards further back alongside Frimpong.

Playing a non fit midfielder great would rather Milijas

Bloody hope so.

I lambasted him for the first bit of the season but he was playing really well before his injury.

Of course he'll play and he'll probably get injured as a result. MM has a tendancy of rushing players back from injury when they're not ready. It's why Kightly was out for the best part of two years.

Play him alongside Frimpong Edwards ahead of them.

This. We missed this so much against Liverpool, it was embarrassing to be honest. Predictable passes being made from deep, into awkward positions and areas where the receiving player was never going to be able to do anything with the ball. I'm praying O'hara plays for this reason, or their midfield will run the show. We missed both O'hara and Henry, but O'hara in particular for finding space and driving forward. Looking forward to seeing him and Frimpong.

Don't want to see Edwards playing off a striker unless its used as a defensive option against a big club. If playing 4-4-1-1 the number 10 needs to be influential and creative and be able to finish. Edwards is a no-no for me now O'Hara is back.

Not off a striker per se more a willing runner who can get into decent positions.

I was about to post that the safest bet would be to play him on the bench but you changed my mind with this thought, JOH must play !!

Hopefully he will with Johnson & Jonnson getting dropped for O'Hara & Bassong.

The problem with Edwards, who has a fabulous attitude/commitment, is that he makes tremendous runs into the box, but sadly it is him on the end of them!

Also he couldn't finish a ham sandwich let a lone an attacking move.

A 75% fit O'Hara is surely a better option than a 100% fit Eggert based on what we saw against Liverpool.

At least JOH can score and create chances. With Frimpong filling the Henry role hopefully we can get something out of the game.

if fit and 3 in midfield then it should be frimpong, milijas and ohara and that's it.

It is of course the old problem of whether to risk him, or let him get properly fit. I would probably start the game with him and give him an hour.

This for me too with Milijas to come off the bench

id leave him out with a view of starting him against The Albion, much bigger game than tomorrows.

We need points and I think as he has been training all week 45 minutes at QPR will give him match fitness ready for the Baggies game

fit enough maybe for 60 minutes, cant see him lasting a full 90, he has been out for quite a while

I have actually been pleased with Edwards , not just a workhorse , he has played a couple of very good balls in , O Hara and frimpong with Edwards box to box , Kightly has added a sharper edge up front and can finish, so this looks a potent threat , just the defence that worries me

I'm stuck between the Milijas or Edwards option. JOH should start in order to get to full match fitness, even if he's on for just 70 minutes. I agree with Grumpy about Edwards' forward passing + how hard he forces defenders to work to get the ball to midfielders in space, which is how Hughes wants them to play, I think.

But Frimpong needs someone alongside him to help cover the back 4, as I don't think this is his man strength.

I think I would start with Ned and then bring on Dave for him if we need to chase the game or if Ned has run out of puff.

Yea Edwards has played some good balls in, some good touches , works hard to get into the box and scored a goal against Villa.

I see O Hara sitting with Frimpong with Edwards getting up and down to support Fletcher.

Lets hope Bassong can add the steel to the defence

Thats the midfield three I would pick tomorrow but it will never happen under McCarthy.

We have really missed JOH in the midfield, he is the outlet for the others. Always wants the ball, never hides and has some ability. I do hope he is fit enough for tomorrow and plays a major part in our survival again!!

Come on the Wolves

45 mins of Jamie OH 45 minutes of Milijas. Mad Mick will play Edwards whatever happens and Frimpong will play. Guedioura would have been a useful option on the bench but Mick prefers Jonsson. Brilliant stuff. If Zubar is fit should Foley be considered to combat/nullify Barton? We need at least one player in the middle of the park who can ef$$$$$$$ pass accurately whatever happens.

As much as we need JOH back, rushing him back to soon could put him out for the next few weeks, don't forget what happened to Kites. Bring him off the bench for the last 30 mins.

Yes Milijas looks totally lacking in confidence and may well prove a handicap if in the starting 11.
