had a walk to ticket office as i was in town, straight in straight out guy said a load tryed to get on 1st thing and 150ish people tryed to get through, it's been steady al day but nothing like earlier in the morning
Lupo Italiano

I remember when I used to go to queue at the ticket office (pre-ST days) at about 6 in the morning and the queue would be round the block and we would wait nervously knowing the sold out notice could go up at any minute!
Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end!

Snap Lupo,
I remember queuing all around the ground in the 70's, when the ticket office used to be at the back of the old south bank, and when I was at school my mom used to go and queue for me, bless her. She's even offered to go today to get my Man U tickets!!
Roll on the 29th
Lupo Italiano
19-01-2006, 14:13
NW, moms eh? Can't beat em!
Don't think I ever fell victim to the 'sold out' scenario but it was nerve wracking nonetheless!
BTW DCNB, I think you have until Tues (24th) to buy you ticket from waht Moxey said yesterday in his 'please be patient' speech!
Just got mine. Total call time? One minute 43 seconds. Get in!

Again it took about 3 mins.So much for Moxeys advice. But thats his style why buy a player on the 1st Jan when the window is open until 31st thick of all the wages he saves.

im undecided cos its £29 where i sit and cant afford that at the
moment. wonder if they'll do the student rates? would still be
something like £17 but more affordable. its a shame they are ripping
off the fans again

Del boy, you might be in the same position one day and your wise cracks might come back to haunt you, I thought I would always be able to afford going to Wolves, untill Death do us Part or ill health. I neverdreamed it would get to the stage where it was the cost of a ticket that prevented me from going to watch the Club I love. Now if we get relegated I might be able to afford it and see them live, not on (the only football that counts is Prem qwap) MOTD, better than ITV`s version though. Open your eyes its happening all over the country, the bubble has burst and the shysters are trying one last pay day.

My 'wise crack' was not aimed at you, Derby, as I would never mock a person's financial situation. Whether you earn £5 or £500 an hour, you are but a man. My point was aimed at Shifnal who inferred that he may reconsider should we be playing Arsenal on that cold January night. I'm sorry that I allowed my comment to be misconstrued, but it really wasn't aimed at you.

Many apologies Del Boy. Like a lot of posters on here at the moment its all getting very emotional and thats when misunderstandings happen.
I used to be on good pay then Thatcher came along, so the chain has come to its conclusion. City investors richer, plebs poorer, theeffect hits everything sooner or later. I expect there will be an IFA in my seat next year, if its still fashionable to watch football who won`t care a flying duck for the Wolves but he will hand over the cash, there might even be a tax break in it. Perhaps Chaucer will advise the IFA. Blood suckers.

Del Woppio its not a case of me falling out of love with the club, its
just not possible to spend £30 on a train tickets and then another £35
or so on a match ticket. thats £65 that could help me repay my debts
after the 3 years as il be in one hell of a financial mess. i would
love to go and see every game, who wouldn't but i just can't?
your telling me you would spend £65 everytime to go and watch wolves if you were a university student. if you do the maths its £1235</span> if we're in the prem or £1495</span> in the championship.
would you do it in my situation?

it depends where you are going to uni at shifnal. ive been at wolves uni(i didnt want to move away cause id miss games) and have still managed to go to about 95% of away games in the last 3 years on just the student loan.
i understand your situation and that you could spend the money on better things but it is possible.
got my man utd ticket today from the ticket office. there were 3 people being served and another couple of people went in before me, so i was expecting a 5 minute wait, but no, 3 more staff come to man their posts, never seen that in our ticket office before. the guy even asked if i wanted student price ticket cause i bought my plymouth one for the discount price.
so yes, for once, well done wolves

When you're rich enough to sit in the Billy Quiet, like the rest of us Thatcherites, you won't have to worry about the insignificant cost of an occasional Cup ticket!
