Two goals, two assists. Not too bad.

He looked handy, but I'd like to see him do it against someone a little better than a bottom-half Conference side before everyone starts raving about him.

He has played in the Premiership several times this season (and europe once or twice)and is without doubt the one to watch coming through the united ranks.

Just like Ronnie Wallwork, Chris Eagles, Luke Chadwick and Darren Fletcher, then. smileys/smiley5.gif

The lad's got talent, but he'd struggle massively if he played regularly in the Premiership at the moment.

Why do you think that? Van Persie wouldn't be half the player he is now without games behind him.

Also, I dont see how Fletcher can be criticised. He must be doing something right to hold down a place at one of the biggest clubs in the world.Edited by: kford wolf

Why do I think that? He looks a bit lightweight at the minute and doesn't have the explosive pace that most young players who break through at an early age have. Van Persie was a Dutch international when Arsenal signed him, so you can't really make a direct comparison.

Don't get me wrong, Rossi looked good tonight, and against Blues in the League Cup, but I wouldn't go raving about him being a surefire bet to make it because he scored a couple (one deflected) against Burton.

Edit: Darren Fletcher would struggle to get in any other Premiership team than Sunderland. No pace, can't pass, rarely scores, can't tackle, as lightweight as Rohan Ricketts. Go and ask some ManYoo fans how good he is.Edited by: Deutsch Wolf

I take your point about Van Persie. Its a valid one. But he's only improved playing regular football for Arsenal.

I disagree about Fletcher, I've been to see united this season and have followed the closely. Good player - He can be a little inconsistent at times, but theres only 4 teams he might not get into and they're Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham (All of which have a better Midfield than Utd)

Rossi is a class act and if he plays he WILL cause alot of trouble. You don't need pace to be a great footballer, although it would add to your armoury.

Look on the likes of Mark Hughes then Paul Scholes coming through Utd's ranks. Both lack/ed pace and height, howeverhave had successful years both at club and international level

Mark my words, this kid has the makings to be another Paul Scholes/Mark Hughes. smileys/smiley2.gifEdited by: Golden Oldie

He also has 13 in 13 games for the Manure reserves. I know it's not Premiership, but still a goal a game is impressive at any level.

Darren Fletcher is one of the worst players I have ever seen in a Man Yoo shirt, worse than even Liam Miller,Djemba Djema or that Brazilian Kleberson. Not forgetting Mike Phelan and Ronnie Wontwork

Rossi will play for a big club and be a big player, but it won't be United. hes only 2 years younger than Rooney, so unless he wants to wait until Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo, Smith etc have left/retired he won't be getting regular games very soon...

Can I quote you on that?

According o Ferguson he's best natural finisher they've had at the club
since scholes was his age. Can't really see them seeling him anytime
soon. BTW Smith plays in midfield now smileys/smiley9.gif

ive said to my parents for the last 3 months we should sign rossi on
loan for the season. he is gonna be the next best youngster at united
and we could give him 1st team experience as he is better than all our
strikers put together. he's got something like 13 goals in 13 games in
the reserves this season and even better last season!

SIGN HIM UP!
