He's useless, and if memory serves me right, a bit of a fat boy.

No thanks, looks overweight, is slow and not that good.

I know Wolves need signings but to improve the squad, Mellor IMHO would not.

glen keeps goin on about gettin a top class finisher. mellor does not fit this criteria. hes an unproven striker in the champioship cos he didnt score many when on loan to west ham

Just found out why we are interested from Teamtalk!

He has made 21 first-team appearances for the Reds, scoring six goals in the process. However, he was forced to undergo surgery on both knees last March and has not appeared for the Premiership side since.

arrrghh!!

I remember watching him for Liverpool in a few games and thought he was
a good player. Strong and a good finisher, just not really pacey.

Also on the Guardian's Rumour Mill page:

What a difference a win makes - Liverpool are sniffing around Sunderland midfielder Dean Whitehead, but could lose reserve striker and Steven Gerrard look-a-like Neil Mellor if Wolves get their way.

I really hope this is just paper talk.

Last thing Wolves need is another injury prone player that's not even that good to start with.smileys/smiley5.gifEdited by: Essex Wolf

not necessarily papertalk Essex. This was doing the rounds pre-season as Sheff Utd were after him aswell. Hope he never pulls on a Wolves shirt in his life.
