If it's a season-ender then surely thats it for George. There's only so
many chances you can give a fella before you've got to wave goodbye.
Hope Naylor's isn't too bad, I am a fan of his, but at least it highlights the need for LB cover.

after hanging on to the slim hope he'll stay fit.

Very true indeed.
George if it is the end, you may not have played alot of games in your Wolves career but the ones you have have been a joy to watch. You clearly love playing football, and I'll always remember your goal against Preston away and your double against the baggies in the 3-1 win.

I will never forget that their fans at the Crem booed George because they thought he was acting/exaggerating, much like tonight. George actually got up on his feet for a minute or two before going off that day! smileys/smiley11.gif

Glenns been here,Yes he may have bad days dont we all, But unlike some
of our over payed under achievers he never lets his head drop and keeps

Bless you George, you've done your best but it aint to be. Strange how other players for Wolves like Daley who had terrible injuries were booed when they came back and generally hated, yet everyone loves George. Must be the Carbon tackle that started it all.

Daley never seemed to try when he WAS fit. Rankine was a better winger!! Plus he managed to nobble Adie Williams with one of his comedy injuries.
George was/is always a trier, and he's had some rotten luck. I thought he was a far better player than Akinbiyi when we signed him, and I've got fond memories of the Leicester FA Cup win - George tore them to pieces. Newcastle too. Good luck George.

Don't get me wrong, I think George is probably one of footballs real nice guys and it's a real shame things have gone so badly for him. To keep coming back after everything shows real guts and determination as well.

Whilst it would be great to hear that it wasn't as serious as expected I feel GN's time at Molineux should come to an end as his costs to date far outweigh any return and throwing more money at this situation is literaly just a waste now.I wish him well but sincerely hope the club sees the light.

Lets be realistic, he's never coming back at this club. He will, quite rightly, be released at the end of the season, so lets say goodbye and thanks for a few happy memories.
If a miracle happens, George decides to play on at some club willing to give him a chance, he regains fitness and form, well so be it and good luck to him. Personally I think he was destined to be the second Tony Daley and it wouldn't surprise me if George ended up as a physio like TD. They both must know more about football injuries thanthe majority ofDoctors!

I love this talk of injuries. When Cort went for his 'exploratory'operation he was going to be back in three games - where the $$$$$$ is he?This is nothing to do witht the player, but the club telling porkies and uslapping it up like Kate Moss ona night out.
I think it's bad news about Naylor, I really like him as a player - if he's so bad then whyhas he outlasted four managers at Mol. Hope he's better soon - and GN too, but I fear that's curtains forthe Nigerian wizard.

Naylor's a good player and a decent guy to boot. Can't fault his effort and commitment, shows leadership by taking the dead ball kicks. All in all he's one of our better players - oh yeah and he didn't cost us anything because he's home-grown. Lets stop kidding ourselves, George is never going to be fit. He might get running fit for a few days later in the season, then he'll break down again. He always does.
The club should try and get him fit enough for a normal existance. Onethat doesn't involve strain on his ankles, knees, etc. Because the way he's going he'll end upcrippled for life.
Pretending he's a viable member of the playing staff at Wolves just hides the fact that we are short of strikers. Forget about George, if Miller goes we're "down to the bare bones" in the striking dept. Even more so if Cort follows the same path as GN and lets face it, Cort's injury record is not good.
