Didnt like the guy from day 1. We are no further forward from when we appointed him, and its the most boring Wolves side i have ever seen. I keep waiting for us to magically turn into the Chelsea alikes he so desperatley wants us to be, but we can barely muster back to back wins. World class coach i hear so often - To which id reply, stubborn and tactically inept. Results need to pick up : NOW.

Nobody is going to offer him a job on his recent record. Wolves can't afford to sack him. He's with us until May 2006 at least.

we could afford to sack him as its only a rolling contract. i think it was in the e&s that it said west ham were too pretty for this division, and to be fair, they went up in the play offs and are doing well in the premiership.

this might be the case with us, plus a few decent players, it would be good to watch. at the moment, tactically you can see what is supposed to be happening but they arent good enough to do it.

i have to say though that i prefer the free flowing attacking demolitions under the good days under Jones to the present regime but i can see this system working with the right players, and that will only happen if we go up.

if we are still in this dungeonthen i think he should go, not because he is a bad coach but the fact that this system hardly works with players we have no, the likelyhood that it would work with lesser players is slim.

I give him until the end of next season.

No he shouldn't stand down...

But to be fair the next month or so could clear the picture....

a. The board release the cash, we make some decent signings and push on, all will be forgotten

b, The cash is realeased little or no additions are made, we struggle and the fans will turn on Hod

or

c. No cash is released and thefans attentions will turn to the board

I give him until the end of next season.

$$$$$$$ me I wished I worked for you, you allow alot of incompetence before you've had enough.

BTW Does that mean you'd sack him at the end of next season if we win the league??

STABILITY guys

I'd give him another full season and see where we are at the time. There needs to be stability and he need to shape a team for the present and future.

Is there some kind of deal in place whereby Hoddle will take a vastly reduced wage if he stays on for another season? Moxey has already said we will need to cut costs and it doesn’t make sense having ( easily ) the highest paid manager in the league if he isn’t outperforming managers who earn nothing like 500k a year ( or whatever it is ).

If we were to 'get rid', presumably we would have to pay up a years salary?

I'm not at all happy with how Hoddle has done so far, but would let him remain if he makes the play-offs. I can't be bothered with another manager coming in, needing 6 months to settle in, produce a few decent results before sliding into mediocrity before getting the heave-ho. We are currently in the mediocre spell so we may as well see if Hoddle can get us out of it. Sheffield United and <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Reading were no great shakes under messrs Warnock and Coppell until pretty recently.

Wolves are going to be in the fog at the end of this season if we don't
go up, which is probably what is going to happen. I say look for
a young manager now with passion, get rid of the dead wood and start
over. Lets see how we look in a couple of years, were just
meandering from season to season at the moment.

What would unloading him actually acheive?

This is his first full season with us and we lay 6th having not spent a single cent as yet on new players.

Give him this season and one other if we are still in the CCC.

i think we should change the suppporters but stick with the manager and give the club some stability.

Why dont we sell our supporters and buy those from Accrington Stanley. Forget about a sell on clause because nobody else would want you supporting their team.

Janson Wolf

Stability, plus lets see who he buys (if anyone) and what impact this has before we start calling for his head. We can't go straight up but the play offs are a strong possibility still.

aren't we about fed up of changing managers every 18 months? If we carry on we'll end up like chuffing Millwall.A bit of stability might work, might not, but we've tried jumping on the merry go round too often, and we all know it doesn't work. We're in the playyoff zone. we have money to spend. get a grip and stop moaning.

I don't think he's going to stick around past the end of this season anyway unless we go up. It's too far from the Smoke for him and he must be getting homesick the way he brings Anderton with him everywhere he goes.

Seems to me that some peopleon this board didn't like Hoddle before he came. They don't like him now and still won'tlike him even if we get promoted. DJ was given 3 years and a boatload of cash. Hoddle isn't likely to get the cash but ought to be granted a similar time to see what he can achieve. I'd give him to the end of next season and then take it from there. Dumping him in January is just pathetic.

JW, I feel confident if GH was given half the cash DJ was allowed he'd have us sitting top of the league right now.As it is we will never know because the club aren't prepared to back him. Not saying they should spend money unwisely but all things considered GH is doing a decent job to date without an iota of backing, to date, from the board.

TBH, any decent manager should see his team at or very near the top if they had as much to spend as DJ. How much Hoddle has at his disposal has been a matter of great conjecture but the fact that he hasspent very littleso far bodes well in many respects.

I agree JW. If Wolves can reach the PO's they will have done well all things considered. Our favourites tag was something IMHO that led many of us to believe things were far better than they really were and the fact GH hasn't spend any money on quality only but highlighted the squads inadequicies.

GH made a mistake himself on that front, if of couse he was backed as we are told but I do not believe he will do so again.
