After there was clear doubt on here following the E&S article I emailed the club asking whether they could confirm he came back as planned. I had a reply just before 4 saying 'Henri Camara is due back today' - totally avoiding having to answer the question.
The guy is more than a joke...Edited by: Stan Cutlass

Wht would they need a translator Hoddle speaks very good French, after living and coaching there for many years, at least there will be no Uncle or Mckay their to tell Wolves what he is saying, Now Wolves can through Hoddle talk to him direct

All of these problems stem from the Bosman ruling which has harmed football for the normal club and fan.

It has increased the power of the agents which has not really been good for the game IMO. The balance needed redressing but has tilted too far the other way.

I think that Camara/Mckay have screwed up, last season's protestations have resulted in only one winner, the Wolves. The guy isn't getting any younger and is still unproven at 28. On balance I want shot of the guy but at the right price. I sense it is worth more to Wolves to be stoical in this matter. Better for football too.

club and fan.
How?
By shifting the power so much in favour of the player which I believe
is to the detriment of the game as a whole. Many clubs existed on
developing players and selling them which created more jobs for all
rather than extortianate amounts for the select few. Players seem to be
able to break their contracts easily but the clubs are tied to honour
the players side. Look at the Cole situation.
That is the start of how.

I agree, there is no doubt the Bosman ruling has indeed given more power to the player, but to be honest, players have always had a certain amount of freedom to move about if they wish, as long as they conducted themselves in the correct manner. We must remember that the Bosman ruling can be greatly advantageous to clubs also - our free transfer signing of Jackie McNamara wouldn't have been possible pre-Bosman, as Celtic could still demand a fee and hold his registration. The main reason for Cole situation and Camara is the amount of money involved these days - the game is awash with big time charlies who think they can do what the hell they want.
Jean-Marc Bosman, nothing more than a 50p a week player, wanted to move to Dunkirk from Liege, but his clubdemanded a fee way in excess offhisvalue, the move fell through, hehad his wages cut by 60%, and was dropped basically to rot in the reserves. But he never went on strike, cos in those days players couldnt afford to, especially in the Belgium Second division.
Monsieur Camara, unfortunately, began to believe his own hype... rather than do the right thing - ie ask for a transfer, play, and see what came along - stomped his feet, ran off to Dakar and refused to cooperate.
Undoubtably though, there has never been an even balance between club and player.
