I not that worried Essex but he's going to give Reading some much needed firepower next season , and only for a million smackers as well..

I don't think you can say that with any certainty, mate. He's had half a good season in a lower division, which doesn't necessarily mean he'll make the grade at this level.

there are lots of players who scored loads at Lg1 and Lg2 level who have been unable to make the step up - Greenacre, Beckett, even Ormerod to name but three

Must admit it's a good deal 28th but Reading are only replacing the forward they have already lost albeit he is a bit better I suppose than Forster.


Just hope that my belief in GH is justified and he now does sign the quality we keep hearing about.

I'm not going to go into pant wetting mode Essex , I trust Hoddle will get the best players he can and thinks will do a job at Wolves...

Know exactly what you mean 28th as I'm an impatient bugger at the best of times and this time last year I would have been quite irate but I have a lot more faith and trust in GH and the way in which he goes about things on the football side.


If we still haven't got at least one new player signed by this time next week I will start getting nervy.

Maybe Glenn knows more about Lita than you think. He was released 2/3 years ago by Chelsea after coming through the youth system? I know Glenn left there ages ago but he'd have his contacts and would know what the boy was all about. Lita for £1m would have been a good deal for us and he would have put serious pressure on Miller/Ganea and could only have improved under Hod's coaching. However, we await Hoddle's solutions. But time is beginning to run out and I am starting to feel that we may be missing out on vital signings if we don't start waving some money around with a bit more conviction and start clinching a deal or two in the next few days.
