there may be hope for us to sign gardnernow that charlton have pulled out and signed another central defender instead.

Didn't Charlton pull out though because he failed their medical? If so I don't really want GH signing a crock.

Yes, but we keep on giving Ndah new deals, so there is still a chance for the Gardner deal!

i bet he passes his next one though, be it here or somewhere else, did he fail or was it a story to hide the fact they would rather have a player on loan for the year instead of paying 2-3m?

it might mean we get him cheaper or on loan to prove fitness, you never know,
Loan move would suit all parties i would think.

Siunt, the continued contract of Ndah is somewhat of a mystery to me I must admit because I can't think of another club anywhere that would be prepared to give such an injury prone player quite so many chances time after time.

One good thing to say of it, is that you would hope that the continued loyalty that we show to Ndah will be reflected by other players when offers come in for them! Lescott for example may be more likely to stay with the club. If we are seen to be loyal to our players, the feeling may be mutual!Edited by: siunt

You'd like to think so wouldn't you mate but when you hear stories of players not being happy because they are only being offered £100000 for example you have to wonder at how their minds work??
As regards Ndah, well I'd love to see him stay fit and provide some of the magic he used to show on occasion even if it's for only half the season because that alone would be a massive improvement on the last two seasons.Edited by: Essex Wolf

Gardner has a foot problem which may need an operation. Why he/Spurs are not sorting this out in the close season I don't know. Would really like a fit Gardner on board and for a cut price fee/loan he might turn out to be a bargain if we can sort him out physically. Calum Davenport on loan is another option. I wish Hoddle would sort out this centre back signing speedily - it has been a crying need for ages. Lescott needs to have the pressure taken off him and Craddock should be first reserve not first team.

I would say that the Ndah deals of last season and this are heavily stacked in our favour..... i.e he is costing next to nothing in football terms.
