BarmyWolf 26-11-2005, 18:42 Who said they are big clubs come to think of it were no longer a big club at present.Big in the past yes not in the present,As much as it pains me to say so were nothing more than a division 1 side.... It is up to the Board and Hoddle at present to prove anyone wrong. BW I was being sarcastic in my post, the point being that more clubs are climbing above us. But as long as the rest of the division respects the ninth club that will be alright for some(Can we have a sarcastic icon) BarmyWolf 26-11-2005, 18:55 <!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> Prove me wrong by all means but what makes us a big club at present ? Mate, you and I are of the same mindset and I like the way you post. Say it as it is in your view, say what's in your heart and mind and don't give a $$$$$$ what others say or think.smileys/smiley20.gif WS, I still back GH even though today I question his tactics and team selection but he can only work with the tools he is given and for me many of the tools acquired by his predecessor are poor quality and in need of replacement. Unfortunately it seems the person that holds he purse string is happy to make he old tools keep going until they totally fail.Edited by: Essex Wolf Hod's 80s perm 26-11-2005, 19:35 On paper, our squad is way ahead of Burnley and Stoke, both of which have gone through some really bad runs this season and have had behind the scene shananigans. Hod's 80s perm 26-11-2005, 20:12 How can you be so sure though DC? He can't, he's the sort of eternal optimist that on finding out his wife was having it up the arse by his mate at work, he would respond with 'well at least he ain't an albion fan' Oldgold Wolfcub 26-11-2005, 20:14 I raised this thread for exactly the thoughts you are giving above. These need to be voiced more and more to bring this situation to a head. It does also need to be said that on a footballing basis we have not moved on in the time that Jack Hayward has been with us. I would even go so far as to land us with Tim is an insult to every fan. To run a business you need people who are capable of making it successful and are committed to the task. He has had every opportunity over the years to do that and has not. Dr I love your positivity but I am sure you still believe in Santa Claus.smileys/smiley1.gif goldeneyed 26-11-2005, 20:20 The managers of our club should be ashamed of where we currently are in the league. Reading, that Super club, are literally miles ahead of us and we are still in November. And that is despite losing their record signing Lita for many of those games. It is a poor league quality-wise and with a little bit of ambition in the summer we could have been right up there. For Burnley,Stoke Cardiff etc to be ahead of us is a testimony to our club's total incompetence imv. Even with injuries our team should be at least 12/15 points better offthan they are at this moment. Leeds are the only bigger club in this league and they have done brilliantly to recover from financial ruin in such a short time. From the opening day of the season it has been obvious that they are absolutely determined to get back up and their recent bid for Andy Reid reflects that attitude. Our club are leaderless and rudderless drifting in a no man's land filled with false promises and half truths. Do the Haywards even want another stint at the Premiership knowing that the pressure would be on to cough up adequate funds to give the manager a chance? I sincerely have my doubts. Everything about the club seems half hearted at the moment and the players' mostly abysmal performances reflect this. The table doesn't lie. It reflects the mediocrity that has become the fans' staple diet in recent years. How much longer is the club going to command crowds of 25,000 if it keeps serving up rubbish. Even the most devoted fans musy be seeing through the spin by now. PS I don't particularly blame Hoddle, as this is a long term problem and he has been stuck mainly with the brilliant DJ's players, although he has obviously made mistakes himself. The buck ultimately stops with him however, and if this depressing trend continues he will be running out of excuses, especially if the board is offering him £2-3m towards badly needed reinforcements which we assume is the case based on the supposed £2.25m bid for Rasiak which surprise, surprise, failed. End of rant. In my fantasy land for January I see us offering £3.5m for Huddlestone and £2m for Nugent. Dream on baby. dr cool 26-11-2005, 21:02 How can you be so sure though DC? Just to let you know I hate it when Wolves lose, I'm moody until the next game (the Mrs will confirm that), I take it out on the kids by grounding them for the year and I normally can't watch football for a couple of days. But if it helps you to think that I attend every single game (home and away) and enjoy the prospect of travelling back from Brighton after watching us struggle to a boring 1-1, then fair enough. We can't all live in Manchester and watch games through rose tinted spectacles. NB: By the way, I don't mind your blind faith, each to their own. dr cool 27-11-2005, 20:52 How can you be so sure though DC?
