The worst display since Uriah.

Continually stopped the play for minor things in the middle of the park 'look at me, look at me, I'm on TV!' but didn't have any balls to make a decision at the ends of the pitch where decisions would have mattered, seemed to single Ndah out for some harsh decisions, a stupid booking which then hampered Ndah's closing down...Kennedy got booked for connecting with the ball...there was absolutely no consistency in his decisions...but he was consistently sheit.

Should never be allowed to ref at this level again.

Certainly spoilt things as often as he could and Ndah's booking wasan absolute joke.Missedmore important stuff than he number of freekicks he gave for nothing incidents.

I really don't know how he didn't give Southampton a penalty in the
second half. I know we had a few shouts, all of which were debatable,
but when Lescott? shoved their striker down it was cast iron from where
I was standing.

I thought it was Edwards but it clearly was a shove and he
fell. Still, these things work themselves out over the
course of a game.

Have we had a penalty all season?

Was awful what are the chances that someone reports him to the fa??

It was Naylor who shove him over No penalty, but the foul against our Colin was clear.

Have to agree a very poor Ref made two poor teams deliver a very poor game

Essex Wolf
26-11-2005, 16:19
It was the petty nit picky stuff that spoilt it.

I think it was Birtles who made a sarcastic comment about what a dangerous position the ball was in when a free kick was given to the defence in their own penalty area and the ref made hem take it again because he ball was moving.smileys/smiley11.gif

Was it Naylor? Can't remember clearly now smileys/smiley18.gif

As for the Cameron shout, I think we've all seen them given, but then
it was a close call imo, more of a 50-50 collision than a foul on him I
thought.

It is disgraceful. Fans pay a lot of money to be entertained and this guy robbed both sets of fans of a better match.

Seeing this match was on TV the authorities should watch this match and
the referee have to justify how he handled it and answer the fans
complaints. But is it likely to happen.......

I think Ndah must have been playing away with the ref's wife because he
really did single him out to start with. Some laughable decisions
today. At least he was consistent....consistently bad.

Ruined the game to be honest.

The FA won't do anything, I wrote and compalined about Rennie and all I got back was the standard reply saying they wouldn't comment on an individual referees performance.smileys/smiley7.gif

Made me chuckle when both sets of fans were having a go at him. It
takes a spectacularly crap ref to get both sets of fans on his back!

The game is being spoilt by these idiots who have obviously never played the game and believe that football is some sort of non contact sport. Football is becoming very bland. When will FIFA amend the rules about injured players? Let them friggin die - the game shouldn't stop for some $$$$$$$ing arse wipe whose hair band has fallen out. At the moment players, especially foreigners (better be careful or the pc brigade will claim I'm racist but nuts to them)fake an injury knowing the game will stop and their team will relieve some pressure - let the b!$*!$*ds die and crawl to the sideline to get bloody treatment - they wouldn't do it then. That idiot today wanted to wrap everyone in cotton wool and give them first aid himself as soon as they hit the floor.

exactly, we were stopping today and knocking the ball out when the whistle wasnt even blown. the physio can come on whilst we're celebrating goals.

Agree completely. These people may know the rules from a book but practice is never the same as theory and they have no ability, it seems, to adapt.

What was Ndah booked for in the first-half, high foot on the invisible man?

He was shocking, obviously in the wrong game, he would be more suited to basketball.

Have to agree with the above comment, best moment of the match was when the ref gave us a free kick for Seyi knocked Huddlestone out of the way smileys/smiley36.gif- What Ndah got booked for i will never know. The ref made sure he had his 60seconds of fame today.

He booked a soton player in front of the Bull stand, and I don't reckon it was even a foul. Appalling display, I'm sure both sets of fans will agree

GH has said he'll make comment in his match report. Now seeing as he and Arry were having a chuckle between themselves on the touchline you'd imagine that HR's report will echo GH's and if so the powers that be will take some sort of action against todays woefully poor ref.

I wonder if they will?

i did the same but didn't even get a reply. maybe it was because i put some bad language in there as well.

ref today was awful. reminded me of rennie this season when he wanted
all the spotlight and was very picky (apart from ndah where every time
he ran it was a foul). definately pen and my mom text me at h/t to say
the people on sky said it was too.

should not referee in this division for a long time

Referees are there to enforce the rules as written in the rule book unfortunately they aren't allowed to adapt. FIFA has made sure of that.

Common sense is something that isn't allowed in refereeing decisions, even though everybody knows that it would make for better, more free-flowing and entertainingmatches.

Paul Taylor was appalling today, his pettiness in practically every decision was unbelieveable.

All it would take is all of us to complain and surely something would have to be done (though maybe i am being a bit optimistic on the FA who knows)
