If Spurs are only calling him back for that, it shows where their priorities are with him. Kidnap him, Moxey! Glad we've got him for longer though, if that's 100% confirmed. johnybig32 18-11-2005, 22:23 is he going to get in ahead of davids, carrick, tiano,reid,lennon,routledge.... NO! KEEP HIM FOR THE SEASON THEN SIGN HIM IN JUNE! Sozzled Wolf 18-11-2005, 22:27 You also forgot Brown, Jenas, Mendes and Davis, JB32! Assuming Spurs went out in round 3, could we then have him back? Good, but not good enough IMO. SnowyWolf 18-11-2005, 22:42 You also forgot Brown, Jenas, Mendes and Davis, JB32! somebody has a midfielder fetish johnybig32 18-11-2005, 22:43 do i play for spurs?? Tottenham Hotspurhas agreed to extend the midfielder's loan, but he will return to White Hart Lane incase he is needed to play in the FA Cup."" That doesn't say it's the end though? He can always be kept and not 'cup tied' with a quick return clause if they desperately need him? Which they hopefully won't if he's 6th choice right now...... Just shows you though....6th choice at Spurs and the most accomplished midfielder we've had here for years...we couldn't afford his left leg so it would seem. Zoltar 18-11-2005, 23:24 I guess we might want him if we get lower league opposition early on and Jol wants to give the first team a rest but I'd just leave at Wolves for the season. We have more than enough cover. What's more, they're selling the Spurs fans short by saying they don't give a flying F about the FA Cup. smileys/smiley7.gifsmileys/smiley35.gifEdited by: Sozzled Wolf Zoltar 18-11-2005, 23:44 Huddlestone will get a chance if he continues to progress like he has. He's 18/19. Davids is here for two season's max. Davis and Mendes are off. If everything went to plan, he'd be backing up Carrick in a couple of years time. As for the cup, I doubt it's the case they don't care but the resting players thing in the early rounds has just become a regular feature in recent years for a lot of clubs. It's not right but there you go. Just trying to make sense of it really. I'd leave him for the season and not disrupt it when it's going well. We did that to Callum Davenport at West Ham and ended up loaning him back out to another club a couple of months later. He can't have been too pleased. |
