The only people to benefit from Live8 were the people that
performed on stage. Waste of time.

Only good thing about the show was the Floyd, what an inept lineup of the so called best musical talent- robbie williams, snow patrol, mariah carey....

An idea for Bob 'Gandolf' next time his ego craves attention is to get artists such as Robbie williams and mariah carey together and threaten to allow them to sing unless the public raises money for africa- i'm sure that way he'll be able toraise far more moneysmileys/smiley36.gif

To be fair, I'm nota Robbie Williams fan, but I thought he was ok at Live8. Mariah Carey was s!$*, Peter Kay proved that he was about as funny as a dose of the clap but yes, it was mainly a waste of time...

I'm not saying you are getting predictable but there are as yet undiscovered tribes in the Amazon Basin who had a fair inkling that was coming

It's true though. He takes everyone's money and hides it in shoe boxes under his floorboards.

Everyone knows it. The time of his hidden agenda to show its fruit is nearly upon us.Edited by: Stan Cutlass

It was the biggest letdown of the last few years (apart from the legend that is Mr Richard Ashcroft of course)......I was at the Oasis gig at the city of manc stadium that day and they were showing live8 highlights on the screen in between all the support acts - I can safely say I chose the right gig that day.

You miss the point entirely, again.

How? I'm not one of these cynical people that is mocking the principalof the event and everything, just purely as a music fan watching the gig backI thought it was disapointing.

Why not just take a box, curl out a massive s!$* in it and then fill your ears with congealed man-yoghurt?

Same effect, much cheaper.
