How much money do you reckon you've personally ploughed into the club directly (including pie purchases)? smileys/smiley2.gif

I reckon i've contributed circa £1000.00Edited by: Golden Oldie

IDON'T EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT smileys/smiley5.gif

I used to go away with the Hatherton lot, that was an expense to start with (breakfast then a minimum gallon before the game).Edited by: 19th Holer

directly into the club say 70 games at between 6.50 and 25 quid a pop (away game percentage of gate I have no idea) I will guess 1250 quid

8 tops - 20-40 each I guess estimate 250 quid

programmes - another 110 quid

wolves, flaming brilliant lighter from the club shop, priceless

seriously goldie, how often do you go? 1,000 isnt a lot really in relation to the ticket/beer/food prices.

Including many years as a ST holder, buying at least 2 tops for myself each year from goodness knows how far back plus last 20 years of buying 2 for each of my two sons, sponsoring games in the days when I could afford it, buying dozens of other club shop items hen I'd hazard a guess at many thousands over the years.

Always take my own food & drink and usually get a free read of the programmes. As for tickets, well let's just say I have a few contacts in high places. smileys/smiley2.gif

plus funds directly into the club isn't the right measure. The club doesn't get your travel costs to eitherhome or away games, or indeed the lions share of the away ticket you buy, but it still is cash out of the bank for the supporter

Over 1000 games, programmes at each one....first 10 years walked to matches when living in Wolvo, then next 10 years at average of around 60 miles per round trip, the next 10 years travelling over 400 miles per home game, and the last 8 at 100 miles, plus around 250 to 300 away games...plus food plus beer = smileys/smiley19.gif....I could have been a millionaire......If I'd have saved the money I could have bought into the board....invested more than all the board memebers put together...now that CANNOT be right.smileys/smiley7.gif

It's not the club's fault you don't follow you local team and travel miles

Why does buying food at the ground make you a better fan?

No, but unfortunately he is no longer officially a board member...he is the only one I can be bothered with....puts his money where his mouth is.Edited by: SOA Wolf

that wasn't what I meant - away followers incur massive travel cost too but this doesn't go to the Wolves.

No, just a rich one...have you seen the prices...scandalous. Used to buy stuff, don't bother now...great long term economics from the master of alienation ....JM
