attendance you've ever experienced and can you remember what it was and who it was against?
Is anyone bothered now about having the stadium extended? smileys/smiley2.gif

Im sure i remember maybe 98/99 against Tranmere we had about 12,000. Cos i repeated it like a mantra at every packed out Premiership game. " Where the **** were all these ******* ******* against Tranmere? " Im much calmer these days.

Sorry Exile, I was looking moreso at league games. smileys/smiley2.gif
Started going regularly in the 86-87 season after I left school.
Plenty of attendances in the 3000-4000 range, went to most of them.
Remember the first game of that season when we got over 6000, we were amazed. ( I still have the program for that game, we were so poor they produced one program for that game and the next)

There was a night game in the old 4th Division in the bad old days, I think it was Rochdale ? and we had only about 3000 smileys/smiley18.gif
I didn't think we were going to survive the Bhatti days!

wasn't home, wasn't league but Leicester away 1990-1991 season Anglo Italian cup was 3 men and a dog
4000 odd was the lowest home gate I went to when I went to my first home game against PNE in 1986. There were probably some others that were slightly lower than this that I went to but this was my first home game so stands out more.
Yeah, I can vividly remember crowds of around 4000 > 4500 in the fourth division.

Quite a few games in the 3-4,000 mark in the bad old days.
Hoop - I recall that when there was 1 programme for the 2 games. About as low as it got! Went to the Cambridge game, can't recall who the other team was.

I think it was more likely 95, as I scored a solo effort in the Jimmy Mullen final to win the cup for Sedgley White Lions. Iwas about 16 at the time and there was about 13,500 at the game.

EDIT: Sorry, just realised you mentioned league games. smileys/smiley9.gif
When I was living in Gloucester in the late eighties we had a few Leyland Daft/Sherpa Van jobbies in midweek and crowds were between 1200-1800 smileys/smiley19.gifIt was truly shockingsmileys/smiley11.gifbut something kept a few thousand of us going.
Me and a few mates were far more loyal in those days, even went to the Cardiff game when Bully got his first goal. smileys/smiley1.gifIf only we knew what was about to happen! smileys/smiley32.gif
I am sure Torquay was the lowest with about 1200-1300, like a bloody reserve game - heartbreaking.Edited by: Black Suit
Luckily i have to hand my wolves - the 25 year record book so can definitely
say Aldershot at home 86/87. we won 3-0 attendance 3,357.

Just found 'em:
2205 v Bury 18/3/86 league
1618 v Torquay SVT
1201 away at Cardiff SGB's first goal
1689 away at Hartlepool 13/12/86 My birthday, had a crash at Derby and went on to see Bully's first league goal while scalding my mouth on a hot pork pie!?!? smileys/smiley35.gif
Isn't the internet marvellous?!
i think mine is about 17,000 in the colin lee days. cant remember the
game, may have been something on sky though but i cant think of
anything lower than that.
there might have been since ive been goin since 95/96 but i cant remember any.
league cup is probably the lowest ive ever seen for a first team game.
2174 against Lincoln in the old Third Division but we had already been relegated on the way down to the Fourth.
GO didn't say Wolves first team. I once saw Ackleton against Worfield, it was both first teams and there can't have been more than 30 of us there.

The Bournemouth game was one of the best around that era, i remember Paul Dougherty playing one of his last games and scoring twice with SGB getting two, too. If I remember rightly, David Puckett scored a hat-trick for them and they were doing well in the third division. Great days!!smileys/smiley5.gif

September 1986:
Wolves 0 - 1 Burnley
I can't remember the gate but it certainly wasn't many. Ring a bell ?
Hopefully we can skip the playoff bit we had at the end of that season and go straight up with the new Steve Bull.smileys/smiley2.gif

I went to that game I think it was on a Monday night we won 4-3 it was
brilliant, we were still a little eratic until we beat Stockport
scoring 3 goals in the last 9 minutes those were the days. That run
was great the attendances grew each week as people began to get some
pride back.

I've noticed that no one's answered part 2 of my question re.
Is anyone bothered now about having the stadium extended? http://www.molineuxmix.co.uk/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
Personally I think we should leave as is. The way attendances have droppedon average throughout the English Premiership & Championship this season, itmakes me shudder to think that had wegone ahead and extended our stadium (based on where we are now) it would look even more embarrasing with bigger gaps. smileys/smiley9.gif
ST/Casual prices are astronomical at certain stadia, with some fans paying in excess of £2.50 per hour to watch 90 mins of "entertainment". smileys/smiley9.gif
Surely the office of fair trading should intervene or are these cases deemed, "caveat emptor" smileys/smiley5.giforI suppose it's more a case of each to their own? smileys/smiley2.gif

£2.50 an hour??????
What are you on??
Spurs most expensive ticket is £70 for 90 minutes = £46.66 per hour.
If we stick in the greed league (assuming we ever get out of this godforsaken hellhole of a division again) then the fact that every homegame would be a total sell-out again should indicate thatsome form expansion should be considered.

Not quite the same but I feel that all away fans, does not matter how many, should be put in the SB Lower. This season I have only sat in the JH twice. The atomsphere is terrible in the SB lower (mind you it is good to get out quickly at final whistle).
I would also love to see at least 2 of the corners filled in linking the BQ stand with the JH and SC.

its absolutely disgusting.
staggeringly, Wayne Rooney, on £70k per week is only £1,750 per hour, ie enough to buy seats at a spurs match for 25 of his close friends per hour.
sheesh

Me too Hoop. Used to catch the Green Bus over Cannock Chase - it was about 35 years old this bus and used to take about 2 hours to get the 18 miles to Wolvo from my housesmileys/smiley5.gif- still got on the 'step' on the South Bank for just after 2pm mind!

Loyal supporters - Ha !
Part 2 - Increase the stadium size, fill in the corners, reduce the ticket prices.

Me and my mates did too, and after the Wrexham 0-0 away draw in the fourth division it was mainly good fun, except for the Southend away defeat and the Aldershot debacle - cheating gits.
