Due to inconsistant pish poor finishing from our beloved Wolves team against Burnleysmileys/smiley7.gifThe weekend's programme of festivities were cancelled and the black clouds hovered over the house!
Does this happen to ALL Wolves fans or Is it just me?smileys/smiley9.gif
Question to ALL MM people - How does a lose, win or draw affect your mood, weekend and return to work???
NB* Please keep remarks as clean as possible smileys/smiley2.gif
I used to let every bad result get to me and be really down for the whole weekend, I've learnt to not give a $$$$$e anymore and take it as it comes....

Ah well this is where the beauty of Friday night games kicked in......Luckilly I was going out on the pish after the game......I met a few mates, went to the light bar, got some beers down us and had afun night, andthe game seemed a distant memory ever since.

I know EXACTLY what you mean NW. I was just as angry when I woke up Saturday morning as I was Friday night and even today my mood is not good.
My missus can tell if our weekend is to be good or bad dependant on a Wolves result.Defeat is never good whilst a draw is not so bad depending if it's away or not.
I went to bed sulking more or less as soon as i got in thendidn't watch the championship or read any newspaper reports.
Saturday night i drunk myself stupid and spent most of Sunday throwing up but don't think i can blame Wolves for this!

We lose I feel like crap, walk round in a pish poor mood and behave like a delinquent. People avoid me because they think I am going to bite their head off. I go to the pub and glower from the bar at anyone who even vaguely looks like they might mention football. Work is hell.
We win and I feel like the world is a happier place, a better place. I am kind to my fellow man and help old ladies across the road.I go to the pub and gloat without mercy.Work is still hell, but I don't mind the heat quite so much.

I took Friday nights defeat particularly badly. The nature of it, the crap team we were against and the fact it was on the friday night all meant I was one seriously unhappy camper smileys/smiley7.gif
I used to get excited before the game and I used to get upset and moody with a Wolves loss, but all that changed during our Premier season when it became apparent that everything we had ever wished for, for 19 years wasn't as important to the club as it was to the brow beaten supporters. Withthe lack of ambitionat the club, the Premier League, the ultimate goal, wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
A little part of the Wolves died in me when the club blew it's chance in the Premier. Now I take it as it comes and thefamily can approach me as soon as I get in after a Wolves loss.

Personally I hate us playing on a Friday night we never do as good as a Saturday, Should be Tue/Wed & Sat only.
Is this an extension of the "real" fan thread or just a confessional about being emotionally retarded?

The bottom lip tends to protude, and i generally sulk like a spoilt child when it doesn't happen for us. Cant believe my missus puts up with it. And she's a Wolves fan too! Also have a major face on me if we lose any game i play in. Beware Intermixers! smileys/smiley36.gif
PS in light of SFS's post - I am emotionally retardedEdited by: Markwolf

I was suicidal after the Watford debacle, a game I went to. Not too bothered after the Burnely game, a game I watched in London after work whilst on the p1ss.
For me, if I have spent the whole day around the footy, spent a wad of dosh and watched cack then it bothers me. Otherwise, I just get on with it.

Being a Friday night I would say it was far worse. Lost and no interest in the Saturday football because of it.
Had a tidy win on the horses though and a treble on Sheff Wed, Port Vale and Tottingham!smileys/smiley20.gif

Nice one. Had a quad on Blackburn, Ipswich, Brentford and Rangers. Top stuffsmileys/smiley1.gif
Full of hope and expectation before the game, angry and frustrated when we lose to or draw with inferior opposition. Seems to be happening a lot lately. It does affect your outlook on life, Wolves win and all is sunshine and roses, lose and it's doom and gloom smileys/smiley19.gif(but only until the next match! smileys/smiley36.gif). Must stay optimistic though or shoot myself!

God I was so angry about Friday's result.....I really believe if a Wolves player was around, he would have got thumped !!!
The problem was that after Stoke and Crewe, I honestly believed that we would slaughter Burnley - the omens seemed so good !!!
Thus the downer effect was horrific. But life goes on and the first night is always the worst and starts to get a little better as time goes on (Here in Liverpool, the Everton and Liverpool results tended to make me feelnot so bad)
