I've heard it's a load of pants compared to Telewest so would hope that
this takeover is to bring them up to scratch, rather than reduce the
quality of Telewest
Anybody got any NTHell comments? Caps, pricings?

Used to be on NTL.....the internet was fine, no caps or anything like that but shocking customer service. 3 occasions I needed to speak to them and on one the calls I was on hold for 4 hours before finally being transfered to someone who said "yeh you've been put through to the wrong department" and hung upsmileys/smiley7.gif.
The average wait to speak to an NTL "customer service" advisor is around half a life time
I'm on NTL broadband, phone and TV. Haven't any problems with broadband. I have a problem with them overcharging whenever I change my package and I have to phone them up and get them to credit me, its happened too many times for me to think this is just co-incidence. So I'd never pay by direct debit. But they answer the phone as quickly as any other call centre.

Got to agree with that. I've had TV from them and their predecessors(Nynex/Cable & Wireless) since it became available about 10 years ago. I went broadband with them from day one. To my mind they do offer the a technically superior solution for internet compared to xDSL connections. I'd not had much trouble with them until about 4 months ago when I found I couldn't connect due to a problem at their end. I was a bit stuck because they don't put the 24 hour internet support number on their billing literature. It ison the website but that ain't much use if you don't currently have internet access. Anyway, I threatened them with Sky and a change of ISP. Result - free Sky Sports for a year.smileys/smiley1.gifEdited by: HazelGroveWolf
